I don't know who's buying those ear wraps and tee shirts, but if they would offer releases on vinyl, I think many people would buy them. I know I would love to have "The Chocolate Invasion" and "Musicololy" on vinyl. You would think that Paisley Park could produce records, wouldn't you?

i'd rather see NPGMC doing all that schmancy die-cut packaging stuff with limited edition vinyl collector's item issues than putting out CD cases that fall apart after a week. vinyl's more of a collectible/display thing these days...but people still do buy it. fans do, certainly. i can't even remember the last prince vinyl i bought...probably the 'partyman' 12".

Why would anyone sell vinyl when you cant buy a turntable to play it on? What makes you think that people would buy LPs? What data are you basing it on? It is more expensive to make LPs than CDs so the price would not be rock bottom. Then all the cry babies would be out about the price being too high. Give me the CDs - I ahvent hada die cut CDpackage fall apart on me yet and I have them all.

It's just in my generation, LP's were the shit. Maybe you can't understand the joy of bringing home a brand new Sign 'O The Times record and holding the thing up and admiring the beauty.

I've seen Musicology on Vinyl. But it looked kinda shitty. I'd get TRC on Vinyl. I have seen it and the packaging looks good.

I recently got the Cure's latest on Vinyl...I'll never play it, but it's cool to have.

I think P ought have special editions of his albums...I miss those and I'd certainly get them if they came out. I am a much bigger fan than I was a decade ago when he did these kinds of things still.

TRC was issued on vinyl - they did a nice job with it.
Musicology lp and singles were released, but appear to be bootlegish instead of official.

Umm..how about a Crystall Ball vinyl release??? Sorry, I don't know what came over me - asking NPGMC for something that folks would actually have interest in buying.

The size of the 12" sleeves and jackets allowed plenty of room for artwork, etc., even for inserting a good-sized booklet in the middle of a folding jacket, or a folded poster in with the record (Controversy, anyone?). CD's just aren't big enough to allow all that.
