Chicago's 6/26/04 Show Cancelled - Prince Is Ill!!! A friend of mine just called (thanks Keeta) to say that she had heard that 2nite's show was just canceled. It's seems that Prince has strained his vocal chords and this show will b postponed until August.

It was really sad to have to leave after getting such great seats through the club. I had seen him the night before and he was amazing. A ton of fans were very upset with him and probably said a few things theyll regret but I happen to be in the crowd where his tour bus backed out from and as he looked at us all through his window he waved goodbye to us and the frustration from everyone seemed to subside as the crowd chanted "get well prince" as we waved back to him.....Please get some rest and wish ya a speedy recover Prince. sometimes I truly think that mankind really needs another "Flood" real soon. On a cooler note at least some may have lett their compassion for the man take over. Hope U feel better real soon Prince.. | |

 That is cool that you got to wave to Prince from his tourbus. I'm sure the man feels awful that he couldn't perform for you all last night. Get well soon, Prince, this is probably a well-deserved rest that you need. Put your feet up, relax, and drink lots of lemon tea with honey.  RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

He's on a 1984 PR tour schedule. As much as he records i would have thought that this would have been a problem thru the 1990's until now, but he's been pretty healthy thru out his career! Get well P take as much time as possible.....u 46 now playa not 26! U,ME,WE!....2FUNKY! | |

I am just amazed that he has not gotten sick before now. I am still recouperating from just going to the show on Sunday and Monday. As a matter of fact, I had to go to the doctor before the Monday show, because I sprained my toe on Sunday from all the jumping up and down I did. It didn't help that I had on some cheap strappy sandals that I had never worn before  . My toe was so swollen that I could barely walk. Before they took x-rays, the doctor said I might have fractured my toe and if so, I should sit Monday's show out... . Thankfully it was just a sprain and I was able to go to the show, but of course I was very gentle on my feet.. Plus, I had laryngitis when I woke up on Monday. I had to drink hot tea and I didn't get my voice back until around noon. I am only 35, so I just can't phathom how he has been able keep up this pace without backlash from his body before now.

I don't know if I classify "strained vocal chords" as "sick". It's just like laryngitis--you don't usually have a fever and all of that  . He probably feels fine, just can't talk. | |

Love ya Prince!!! I'm am so blessed that I was able to see you perform an incredible show at Summerfest in Milwaukee and the first Chicago show on Friday. You truly are the best!!! Rest up, I'm sure you need it. Most people don't have the stamina that you do. Thanks for everything sweetie pie! __________________________________________________

ok....so if prince had to be seen at a hospital...doesen't that mean he had to sign some type of paperwork....so if thats the case, the hospital now has in it's possession prince's autograph. Positivity YES
