I'm in withdrawal from the aftershow on Friday at PP, and absolutely can NOT wait 'til Thursday!

HOWEVER, I have been ruined for any seats other than at the foot of Prince. wink
He made eye contact with me and I swear time stood still.

See you Thursday!

i ain't trying to be too much of a dog...but how is summerfest in milwaukee the "biggest music festival in the world?" i've been to many of them when i was a teenager...some good, some not so good...i guess it kinda depends on how much swill beer the wisconsinites are drinking (and mind you, i was raised in wisconsin until 17, so i know how much influence Miller has on a crowd).

oh, and now i'm being super-serious -- maybe it should Rain -- cuz then ol' boy might actually play '17 Days!' that would be worth the price of admission alone...isn't this the only outdoor show prince is playing on the american leg of the tour?

My husband and I will be there!!! I really enjoyed the last Prince concert at summerfest a few years ago. It was awesome being outside w/ such a nice breeze blowing through Prince's hair.

Hey does anybody need 1 Prince ticket for the Chicago show on Fri. June 25th? It's a premium NPG Music Club ticket in which Prince reserved the best seats. I'm going, but my husband is unable to make it so you'd be sitting next to me. Another great bonus besides good seats, lol!!

If interested, please call me on my cell phone as soon as possible.

Nope it's not. The venue for the Salt Lake City show is an open air amphitheater. I have already begun the "Please don't rain on Sept 7th" dance.
I'm firmly planted in denial

ahhhhh I can't wait I am soooo excited to go to this concert!!!!!

I have been a fan/fam since the very beginning. I didn't get member seats but I don't have bad set 3rd sec row x 22 from the front - just wonder how they will set things up since they can't do the in the round that they have been doing. My goal is to dance on stage!!! I will be working my hardest to make it on the stage.

I have heard nothing of an Aftershow - but you know we can only hope and pray!!!! See ya all there.
Maybe if you took off that chastity belt you could breath a little mo betta.

My question: Was it in the round? Or some other setup since it was the Summerfest thing? Just curious if it was a different setup how he tailored the show to fit that?

it was not in a round. he basically did the same line up of songs that hes been usually doing but the stage was in a round.

Oh my God!!!! What a show.....Prince had so much energy and was in a great mood. I had 2nd row center and he was directly in front of me 90% of the time. It wasn't in the round (would have been impossible) and it was to my benefit being that he was only a few feet away from me the majority of the time.
What a beautiful man he is. He sang a song w/ the words "My home town let's get down....." which I absolutely loved. The reason he sang this to us in Wisconsin is because obviously our state is next to Minnesota, and it gives him the feeling of being in his home down. I thought that personal tough was really great!!!

Back in the day. Before Prince was well known. He toured all over Wisconsin and from what I remember he hit Milwaukee quite a bit. So I am sure that has a little to do with it. One of my friends heard that in a interview that he liked to play milwaukee. It's not just another stop for him. I think it all goes back the day when he would just do small club tours, before he made it big. He knows Milwaukee. They say don't forget where you came from.
