San Jose, CA show hi,
So I have some questions about the June 1 show: 1) is there an opening act? 2) if yes, when can I expect the opening act to end and Prince to go on stage? 3) will there be an aftershow? 4) which hotel will Prince and the band be staying at? thanks David | |

I had plans to go the the SJ concert tongiht. My best friend was suppose to fly in this morning from Louisiana. she was finally coming home after being away for 2 weeks. Due to weather conditions, she was unable to get on the scheduled flight  cant drive 4 1/2 hours by myself
to and from SJ..... I just lost out on a great concert and 200 dollars for the tickets
oh well, shit happens....thank goodness for the 6/5 show at the staples center
I just hope my baby girl gets home safe and sound..... | |

I just hope my baby girl gets home safe and sound..... Hey maybe it wasn't so bad you didn't get to go as I thought the sound was terrible (read the new San Jose review). I'm not sure why it was so bad, I saw David Bowie several months ago and the sound was fine. The only time the sound was good was during his acoustic set. Overall it was a great show and I'm glad I went. Maceo was there but I was surprised to see Candy take the lead with something like 4 - 5 solos to Maceo's 1. I think I'm in love with Candy.  She looked so beautiful, all glistening with sweat, during the first hour. John Blackwell was amazing. He did lose a drumstick during one of his twirls but if it weren't for the video screen I would've never noticed. Amazing. Prince looked a little tired, with bags under his eyes, but was still energetic and gave it his all. I believe he's coming back to play at the Oakland Coliseum later. | |
