prince faces what part

i have ticks for the show tonight. lol just curious for thoses who have been. we are in an arena that they play hockey in and if it was a football game i would be looking from the 50 yard line. would prince face the sidelines more or would he be facing the endzones.

hope this make since. i'll update tomorrow.

The sidelines. And there's a home and visiting section...I just can't figure out how to tell in advance which is which.

OK... I've see three shows now... let me try to explain the stage.

It is in an X with 4 "superman" badge lower sections. Prince is most often in the center, although he gets around to all the four "arms".

The drums and keys all face center. The horns face out and rhonda is mobile from her "lounge" (she has a couch and chair). Out of habit Prince seems to face FRONT, IE AWAY from the drums more often than any other single posture. His guitar pedals are set up so he has to face RIGHT (relative to the "front" I just mentioned) when he uses them. I was just on this side of the stage and I dug that (being a guitar player). When ever he turned on his wah or flange he had to face us and I could watch everything. Awesome!!

So the best seats visually are anything on the "front" or the "front half" of the sides. The back half of the sides are obscured by the drums, keyboards, and horn stand. But he makes it up to people in these sections by choosing on stage dancers from there.

Hope that helps. If in doubt just post a diagram of the seating along w/ where your tickets are and I'll try to tell you what to expect. I've done that for several people.

I saw 2 shows and he definitely favoured the two extensions that surround Rhonda

Of course for both shows I was behind Blackwell and the hornz.....
We actually probably saw his face for about 10-15 minutes I would say out of a 2 hour+ concert..

As compared to the front you - Ie - in front of Rhonda somewhere - you would have seen his face for at least an hour and a half...

FunkyStrange, I'm sorry you had the same experience that I did. Then you come on here and people who could actually see the stage say things like "He really works every side." That's honestly not true. But I would have been fine with that, if I could even SEE a side of the stage!!
