thats cool man, so has the HOF significantly increased ticket sales? looks like, hopefully, this tour could sellout alot more than i originally though ti would! especially if the album is good and does well in april to boost sales abit more. plus good reviews from gigs will persuade others to go when they read em. ooh exciting!

I think it's a combination - the hall of fame seems to be boosting ticket sales at shows that were already on sale - and several large market arenas went on sale just this week.
Just checked a couple of places again. 8/17 - Boston - Sold Out and these two are getting close 4/29 - Birmingham, AL 7/13 - New York note - for sell outs, I didn't check to see if you can still get single seats, only that the pairs of seats are gone, so there may still be a few scattered single seats left at some of the these 10 sellout shows and counting.

New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, LA & Boston are selling better than I expected, which is cool. But it's important to note that there's around 30 shows that haven't sold out. Hey look, it's The Artist Formely Known To Sell Records

Did you not see that I pointed out the total number of shows in my original post? Add 7/13 - New York - Sold Out to the sellout list, bringing the total now to 11 of the 43 shows on sale sold out, with at least 12 more with the expensive seats gone (I didn't check to see if others got added to that list today). The lists now look like this 3/27 - Reno - Sold Out 3/29 - LA - Sold Out 4/30 - Atlanta - Sold Out 5/28 - LA - Sold Out 6/16 - Saint Paul, MN - Sold Out 6/25 - Rosemont, IL - Sold Out 6/26 - Rosemont, IL - Sold Out 7/12 - New York - Sold Out 7/13 - New York - Sold Out 7/16 - East Rutherford, NJ - Sold Out 8/17 - Boston - Sold Out 4/2 - Dallas - expensive seats gone 4/10 - Champaign, IL - expensive seats gone 4/16 - Columbus, OH - expensive seats gone 4/23 - Raleigh, NC - expensive seats gone 4/26 - Tampa, FL - expensive seats gone 4/29 - Birmingham, AL - expensive seats gone, nearly sold out 5/24 - Anaheim - expensive seats gone 5/26 - LA - expensive seats gone 5/29 - Vegas - expensive seats gone 6/17 - Saint Paul, MN - expensive seats gone 8/9 - Atlanta - expensive seats gone 8/22 - Philly - expensive seats gone

But shows where the expensive seats are sold out doesn't mean the whole show is sold out. And did you read what I posted? I said around 25% of the shows will sellout. And guess how many shows have sold out? Hey look, it's The Artist Formely Known To Sell Records

The album isn't out yet, the single isn't out yet (that last part surprises me - should have sent that to radio this week). And the expensive seats selling out is relevant because that generates the majority of the revenue for each show.

There is no doubt in my mind that the closer the tour gets to each city, the more cities will sell out. Boston already sold , Phila will sell out by the end of tomorrow, and the 2nd New york show is close to selling out already. As the buzz gets closer to each city 80 to 90% of them will sell out in my opionion.

about the 2nd St Paul show...
today as I was bored and seeing how tix were going, all I could get all day was cheap seats in the upper deck... right now though, I pulled tix in the 11th row of the 1st level (top price) when I searched for 1 seat, I got a floor ticket in the 4th row... for the floor, I'm wondering if the NPGMC released back unneeded tix and so those are pulling now but I'm confused why suddenly there are decent seats on the 1st level again.... weirdness .....edit... Just saw the single is released to radio (and I assume video) monday. Also, lots of articles on the album/tour popping up this evening. usatoday, cnn, billboard, etc. Watch ticket sales pick up as radio starts playing the song and talking about the tour.

Well this thread is about sellout shows. So the only thing that's irrelevant is your above comment. It doesn't matter if there's 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 or 100 North American shows on this tour. When I say only 25% of the shows will sellout, I mean exactly that. Btw, I've done my own research and I've found that there's plenty of expensive tickets left for (including several other cities but because of ticketmaster's routine service maintenance I'm not currently able to find out for sure) the shows in: Champaign, Ames, Omaha, Biloxi, Bakersfield, Phoenix, Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Bossier City and floor seats left for the second St. Paul show (as the previous poster noted)! But that's just my two cents... [This message was edited Tue Mar 23 23:39:00 2004 by TheGoldExperience] Hey look, it's The Artist Formely Known To Sell Records

hey, I started the thread, I think in doing so my first post determines what the thread is about. Tracking both shows that sold out and shows where the expensive seats sold out. I'll take he 2nd Xcel show off of the second list since more seats opened up.
