LA Forum staff and venue personnel informed LABF that there were many video cameras present at the event. In light of inevitable bootlegging, we only ask that proceeds obtained from the sales of such videos, DVD’s or audio tapes be donated to the foundation directly, as the event was specifically produced to benefit our non-profit organization and the victims of child abuse we serve. All donations can be anonymously sent (by cashier’s check if needed) directly to our foundation address.

I WOULD REALLY BE CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY THE LABF GETS FROM BOOTLEGGERS? YEESH! THAT'S LIKE ASKING A DIAMOND THIEF TO PUT THEM BACK IN AFRICA WHERE THEY CAME FROM. people who steal would not have the decency to send the money back to the foundation

was there any security check at all? I've never seen so many cameras at any concert.

Sheila's old skool..the videos will merely be posted on the net for all to see, not sold by bootlegers. Those days are over.. Sheila should be glad that this will add to the hype of making it an annual event..

Now let's hope we see some video footage online soon!

I think this is an awesome attitude on Sheila's part.

The bootleggers don't gotta send her the profits, but they do gotta wake up with themselves every day.

Hey, "I'll donate" for anyone who makes me a copy. "Think I won't?"

It's a good cause, and I think Sheila's making a cool leap of faith to suggest this.

I actually have to applaud Sheila. She's not a stupid woman, and instead of actually supposing there won't be any bootlegging, she's tackling it -- again -- from a charitable standpoint. I can't speak for all bootleggers, but of the Prince fans I know, music does honestly seem to trump money -- so I actually think people might abide by Sheila's wishes.

If I got my hands on a bootleg recording of the Family Famm, for example, I'd certainly circulate it. But it'd be to share the good time, not to make cash.

The security was very lax. The only thing someone said to me was " no flash". But there were people even in front of the security gate they put up taking videos so they gotta turn up eventually.

I wish they could be legitmately sold so the Foundation would be sure to get the money.

But wouldn't it be great if we all did the right thing and abided by their wishes?
