piss weak after show at the prince Sorry if this has already been posted...but I just have to let off a little steam.
I went to the first Melb concert and (being a pov) was unable to afford going to the second aswell...and after hearing about the fantastic after shows at the metro and later in sydney and brisbane..im a little peaved abpout the appearance teaser he made at the prince of wales... now dont slap me for this post..cos I know he was probably tired and taking it easy for the rest of the aus tour...but I felt a little jibbed. ... I am addicted to his music (adored the soundcheck and concert).. but would like to know why he made such a short (and silent) visit to the prince? ...just feeling withdrawals... 'Scrubdadishes!'

dont get me wrong i had a wonderful night (was at first syd concert) and i will never forget it and it was worth every dollar. BUT the only thing the VIPs got over the diamond tickets was closer seats and a cd most of us already had.
i was so hanging out for an afterparty, and there was one, but no performance. if i had have knowen about the second night i would have gone. it does seem a little unfair that they didnt warn us. but ah well.

Get a life... thats my advice! Its only music, yes it can be very addictive... but there is so much great music to enjoy. And believe it or not, there is a world beyond Prince. "Peace and Benz -- The future, made in Germany"

Diamond tickets were only $171 (AU not US) and included soundcheck and seats (numbered/pre-allocated) in first 6-15 rows. I was very happy with my seats in the 7th row.

Diamond tickets WERE $171 AUD , but they didnt include soundcheck.. THE VIP tickets for $350 ish included sound check... But there was no mention of it including passes to the aftershow until we were actually there...

I don't think the shows had been prearranged...you took your chances...I certainly didn't buy tix to the second shows because I knew there was going to be an afterparty...but I knew it was better to play safe and cover as many options as possible.

Too right! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Sage words - if I had of known before what I know now I would have gone to every concert! To resolve this problem I'm currently planning on becoming wealthy. You see the problem with seeing Prince live is that it now presents another problem. The experience is so good, you don't want to wait another 11 years. So this means going to the US or Europe every couple of years. I keep getting emails from family members of Nigerian presidents wanting me to help them by letting them deposit 20 million into my bank account. Naturally I'll get to keep some so I'm thinking that if I help out these generous people maybe I'll be able to attend a few Prince concerts in Europe or the US. In a couple of hundred years historians may discover that Prince's lyrics were written by Christopher Marlowe.
