The Wichita show was amazing! Morris Day and The Time came on before they did. Too bad it was so damn hot there that day.

They're going to be part of the 3 day Bumbershoot festival and tickets are $130 just for the one day. I'm NOT paying that much just to see The Revollution live. I'll wait till they come back and play a show with just them headlining. It might appear blashemous to some on here but money is tight and my budget won't allow for this pricey ticket plus the motel stay in the Emerald City.

So who's singing the songs? They're great musicians but why would I want to see them without Prince?

I agree with you, I have no desire to see them without Prince either, but I guess they have some that would.

I saw them at BB Kings in NYC, April 2017. We sang. We *all* sang our hearts out. It was amazing.

I'm going again to Providence in October.
And the MUSIC continues...forever...

If you have no desire to see them without Prince then why bother commenting! Prince is no longer with us, accept it! I went to see them last year and they KILLED it. They showed you exactly what he taught them and it was reminiscent of the shows they did with Prince. Who cares if you're not interested in attending. Apparently many fans are and that's why their tour has stretched from last year to this year.

Excuse you! Who the hell are you to tell someone what to comment on and what not to, or what to accept and what not to? And just like you said "who cares if you're not interested in attending"...well who cares if you did! Also, I'm very well aware that Prince is no longer with us, so I don't need you to tell me to "accept it" and the site is made for posters to post on, and who are you to tell anyone what to and what not to-to post on? mad

Indeed. It was great to see Stokley Williams perform with them also.

The Austin City Limits Music Festival set times had not been released yet when the above promo ad was made. The Revolution has since said that they are performing at the festival on Sunday, the 14th.

I was considering going to the Providence show as well. Driving back to NYC however at that late hour would be tough. It could still happen depending on how much of a high I get after the two New York shows and Providence tickets are still available.

I think a few tix are still available. Only because that theater is a bit obscure and on etix. You go directly to The Strand website and click through. I'm going with three people so far. Two of us up front, and one in general admission. I have to say, GA sounds more fun. You can dance up there!!

I hear ya, I'm driving back to central CT. Should be home by 1 am, and plan to be useless at work on Monday. biggrin

I did buy a ticket for Providence after all. The idea of this show being the last one of the year in the states made me a little sentimental. And rather than try to drive back home afterward, I booked a room nearby and will check out Providence the following day, not having spent any time there since I applied to the Rhode Island School of Design decades ago. I have extra vacation time from work that I have to use or lose by the end of the year anyway. See you there!
