1st time full songs* performed live on Piano & A Microphone Hi Members,
Can any members please list songs that they know of that Prince has performed for the 1st time live on his Piano & A Microphone tour? *By 1st time live I'm interested in the following; - Full songs over 2 minutes long (can be instrumentals). - Can be Prince songs or covers of other artists songs - No samples, blended songs (interpolations) , intro's, songs cut short, snippets or medleys etc. - Just the full song with a defined start and finish. eg: No blended songs where one song blends into the next. For example as I understand it Prince's song 'It' from Sign O' The Times was performed for the 1st time live in Show 1 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland on 28 February 2016. The 2nd time was at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on 4 March 2016. (Prior to that according to Prince Vault 'It' was performed live but as interpolations. In 1987 interpolated with 'Forever In My Life' and in 1992 and 2016 (this tour) interpolated with 'Thieves In The Temple'. As these are interpolations they are not counted for this list). I think you are right motherfunka. Thanks for your tips. I was going to say 'Purple Music' but that's already been performed live in 2010 as a medley with 'All The Critics Love U In New York'. Unless it's been performed in full on this tour. I'm not sure.

Purple Music was right on two minutes, but played as a standalone song and not part of a medley. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop. | |
