Help please! How do I make it happen?!

My first posting so please be nice! 28 years a Prince fan and been lucky enough to see him live a few times in London, but not since 2011 Hop Farm Festival in England (which to this day I say was one of the best nights of my life). I just never seem to be able to get tickets in time as they are released last minute and gone in seconds!

It's 40th birthday this year and have told husband that want more than anything to see see the purple one do his thing with just a piano and a mic. You guys are the experts - how do I make it happen?! It would literally make my year but I think you have to be in the know somehow......happy to travel anywhere in Europe (and possibly in the world!) to make my dream come true..... eek

You need to:

1. Keep checking on Prince-related websites / online outlets for concert announcements. All previous tour announcements have been published on this site and headlined on the home page ahead of ticket sales.

2. With regard to ticket sales, be as prepared as possible when the tickest go on sale. Tickets for the recent 'Piano And A Microphone' performances were sold through online ticket sellers with at least some advance notice, but sometimes that might be simply a matter of a few days (therefore there is a need to check very regularly).

Thanks, thats helpful info. Is there anyway of being notified (by email) of any new info released on this site? Or do I have to be devoted enough to check every day?

Someone else suggested twitter to me as well.....

Thanks again

Yep! Any sniff of dates and you need to be on here every day. But also follow Prince3EG and drfunkenberry on Twitter. Good luck!

When buying tickets, be prepared to make it a mission that spans a few days. For the last shows in Oakland, I had to keep trying for and keep checking here for word that there were some. They seem to create desparation by not realeasing them all at first, or only the expensive ones. I would try and try and then suddenly there would be one, just when it seemed hopeless. I actually injured my thumb hitting refresh but it was worth it.

Thanks everyone for your tips. Philmoreliz I am definately up for a thumb injury if that what it takes, my only problem is because of work etc I travel quite a lot and therefore coinciding a date that I can make it + finding out in time to get the goddamn things seems to be nigh on impossible. I long for the days when his concerts were announced months in advance and all you had to do was make sure you had a credit card and a computer on the day they were released! Ahhhhh, the joys of Prince love I guess!

Also register on ticket sites like ticketmaster/seetickets etc and put alerts in for Prince, chances are it will be announced here first, but at leasts with those they send email alerts incase you miss it, you usually get a few days notice of tickets going onsale, unless he does cash£ on the door like he did in 2014.

Also, if tickets sales are announced, it's worth considering pre-sales, sometimes they do deals with sponsors like O2, so O2 customers get first choice/pre-sale tickets.

More helpful tips, thank you. I didn't realise you could create alerts with ticket master...will definitely try that as well. Thanks again!
