In recent days on Twitter, Prince has been dropping teasing mentions of something happening on Jan. 21. Now, his plans have been revealed: he’s hosting a “gala event” at Paisley Park, with “music” promised — apparently a preview of his postponed Piano & a Microphone tour. He announced the news in a multicolored series of tweets, but hasn’t yet shared additional details regarding time, cost, or lineup. . Prince’s Piano & a Microphone tour — with Prince performing solo at the keyboard — was originally planned to take place this fall in cities across Europe. Ticket sales were firstpostponed due to concern over exploitation by ticket resellers, and then the entire tour was postponed until further notice in the wake of the Paris attacks. . On Jan. 21, a Paisley Park audience may get a glimpse of what was planned for that tour. The mention of a “gala event” is intriguing, as is the fact that this show is being announced with much more advance notice than the average Paisley Park event.

x2 but he did respond to his earlier tweet of taking the 22 & 23rd off by changing the wording to say Note to self...tell the boss i need to take off 1/22 cuz I'm going to the park on 1/21 so there's that.
Looks like its just the one nite. Not enough for me to commit to airfare, hotel, w/ no ticket & bad weather.

Who is Prince's current management. It used to be Kiran Sharma of Kikit Ltd. I'm wondering how much it would cost to hire at a small wedding? His diary must be very chaotic so best to ask years in advance lol.

Just spoke with someone trustworthy who says that Prince is in negotation to play an intimate concert in a new small venue in The Netherlands. He was saying March 2016. Not sure if it will work out obviously, but it seems to be a good sign that a European tour might be on its way after all! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

If he does a Friday or Saturday night show, though - I'm there. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Already a Charlie Foxtrot. Would love to purchase advanced tickets and know the details for Jan 21 and any other nights. Like most of you, I'm a grown adult with responsibilities and can't leave my job and my family and spend about a grand to be standing outside of Paisley Park with the hope of a performance. Good luck to those of you who are game for the adventure, but tricks are for kids.

I'm one of those wimps. The thought of standing outside waiting to get in. BRRRRRR.
Still, for all those going have fun.

His timeline on Twitter is inviting the hottest women in music, acting and fashion presumably to Paisley Park on the 21st. Dude still has great taste in women and some of them are talented.

Sorry, but this totally fails to excite me now. Seemed like a good idea a month ago, but if he really wanted to tour, he would have done so by now. Europe is pretty safe, you know. U2 and The Eagles of Death Metal performed in Paris. Announce a tour and I'd be happy to go, but no way I'll ever drag myself across the Atlantic for a concert.

People spending $1000 to go see Prince, and Prince gets none of it. Don't be surprised if Prince begans running a hostel out of Paisley Park.

I've been going to shows at Paisley since 1995. I've been to dozens of performances and dance parties etc. and I have never ever heard of tickets being sold in advance. Always at the door. Usually there is a price and door time announced at some point. Sometimes for big shows there have been shuttles etc. But you never know..... can be different every time.
