Just spoke to Ticketmaster customer services. Still no news on what happens next. What they did say was that Friday is generally a very popular day to put high profile events onsale.

They very rarely do so on a Saturday or Sunday. They also didn't rule out the possibility of Monday.

Outside of the window being Mon-Fri, there's apparently no hard and fast rule about times of the day, this just depends on the promoter.

It sounded like there was a hint about Qing up on the Prince3EG twitter earlier, or at the very least some kind of endorsement.

For anyone interested here's the Channel 4 Dispatches programme from a few years about about the likes of GetMeIn/Seatwave/Viagogo and how theywork.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWlnL8drSdw

Viagogo went to court to try and stop it showing.

Very frustrating to watch!

I was the 9th in line for the Vienna concert queueing for tickets since 6am in the cold and was told 10 minutes before the sale was supposed to start that Prince stopped it. And I might not get a ticket at all when the sale starts again. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about confused .

Whilst I have some sympathy to your plight, I feel you are inflating the seriousness, Serious! Talk about first - world problems! And if you think I've never queued for tickets before, or faced the challenges of 5 days at a completely flooded Glastonbury festival, for example, you are sorely mistaken! You queued for a while in weather you ought to be used to. Disappointing? Certainly. Being "harmed"?! Get a fucking grip!

I think it's funny that you're complaining about someone else being overly dramatic by using phrases like "get a fucking grip!"

The Dutch journalist who was invited to PP just said on TV that Prince will decide if he goes ahead with the tour AFTER the first concert in Vienna. Apparently he wants to test his new formula first.

Then three Dutch pianist gave their interpretations of Raspberry Beret, Purple Rain, and I Could Never... which were all very nice.

If that's true, then he anounced the tour, got his fans (fams!?) excited and even had venues preped to sell tickets, only to decide he may or may not actually do the concerts.

He really is a contemptuous little man (and not because of his height) who likes to waist peoples time so what ? he can feel important and relevant again.

With prince every little thing can lead to that little prince fan inside just disappearing more and more.

Yeah I hear that. It gets harder to justify to myself, let alone other people. Although i was prepped to buy three (if i could get them tickets) to prince farting in a bag with a microphone or whatever this was meant to be.

It's getting to the stage i feel its tainting the memory of my childhood/teenage/young adult obsession. I guess it could of being worse, I could of being a MJ obssesive fan lol (who am i kidding they had it easier, they just had the pedophilia and his death to deal with lol)

I must admit,I'm really fed up too.And I love Prince but the fact he thinks it's okay to mess about like this and mess with people's lives is really getting to me. I'm nearly 50 and wouldn't dream of doing something along these line without coming out an saying sorry and explaining in English my reasons and what I propose to do. It's very disheartening

Maybe just that show? Saying the promoter postponed it, not Prince? Who knows? Not us, that's who.

People waiting in, fingers at the keyboard, waiting to part with hard earned money, holding days, booking holidays, organising "things".

while there is no real information, just princely breadcrumbs.

that is messing with peoples lives. He has messed with my life today so much, i'm posting on the org !

if he said 'sorry guys, will give you more information and a date for booking asap' that would at least say more than a link to a place where it states

"Tourpromoter ICO postponed the presale date. The promoter will inform about the new date."

Yes, I saw it. That's why I suggested the it was only relating to that show. Would be nice for Prince to come out and say it, instead of persisting in this bullshit.

Long timers have been waiting for something like this for many years. Do you all remember the talk in the early 90s of an album called Heart or was it Echos and Whispers...it was supp to be an accoustic album and a Unplugged session was to precede or follow. None of it happened. I remember high hopes for the The Truth album. I love it but it was not what I expected. I guess i was hoping to hear him completely stripped down but that album had a lot of bells and whistles. It was not totally acoustic. I imagined him singing stuff like 'sweet thing' the way he does...

Then there was the piano album One Nite Alone. Again, it was not what I expected. I love it too but it was hard to get into as it was not full of the melodies i expected.

Then there was the 2002 ONA tour where he did the long piano set. I loved it...

...but, all if it felt not complete for some reason. It is like he did not committ totally. It's his issue of being able to do too much and not focusing on one thing.

So, I have high hopes of this tour from what I'm reading. If he really is doing it alone and on a grand piano...in a hall with great acoustics, I am overjoyed! I would really like to see this. However, I've done it too long not to expect some kind of let down.

I hope he sticks to the format and brings out obscure tracks that would be amazing on piano like 'Open Book'.

This issue is that for tickets to be already listed, before they have gone on sale, means that Ticketmaster must be channeling tickets off and marking them up themselves through their sister company.

Possibly. But there's always the possibility that some of these listings are speculative and they actually don't have the seats.

I could advertise a unicorn on eBay for sale right now for £10,000 but it doesn't mean I have one in my garden ready to ship to a buyer wink

mattj, that did make me laugh, not at you, with you. I do feel your pain, and if i lived closser to london I would of being caught up in all the disspointment.

At least we can laugh lol

I don't have any horror stories like that, unless you count the prince shop in campden but that was a horror of a different type.

Well... car broke down in the snow, the gold tour, had to run along the mottor way in a small prince style short jacket to a breakdown phone (no mobiles back in those days kids). Evenetually got to glasgow and missed half the show. Not prince's fault but it's the best 'war' story

Missed the only chance to see a aftershow getting the car back.

Me too, and Maine Road Aug 2nd 1990. Heard that one was off when I was half way to Manchester, from the Outer Hebrides. If he would at least tell us what's going on, it wouldn't be so bad. I'm extremely pissed off with him today. Again.
