I reckon he will still bring a band, and as the shows go on the piano portion will get less and less, and the band hits will get longer and longer...

I don't want to say I told you so, but...

Still getting tickets if I can.

Agree re regular show, so long as you see an early show in the run you should be ok for the original concept, I reckon by the end of the run it will be long jazzified versions of the hits all the way, after a 4 song piano medley to satisfy the contracts.

Even if so it is a win win really, I think. To announce it as a piano show the piano set will have to be at least half of the show to justify that, and then on top of this unique experience we also get a solid dose of funk with a new band! If only I can get tickets tomorrow...

Prince has never toured with half the concert given over to a solo piano set to my knowledge. Yes, he often does solo piano or acoustic guitar sets (though not of late) towards the end of a concert, but these rarely last over 30 minutes.

Not against it, I will be crying with joy or anger at the keyboard tomorrow as much as any other prince fan.He has back tracked a little though! He's now not doing what is says on the tin.But this is prince, and he can do what he wants. And I will be there! I HOPE!

That "hope you have your passport ready" comment makes a bit of sense now. I hope someone told the venues about the upgrade!

COMPLETELY FALSE: The show at Paisley last Saturday is the tour template. Half a show with on piano n the other half with band.

Good lord, I wish so bad I could go to one of these shows.

I really hope this tour lives up to its promise. Although we often disagree here about Prince's songwriting and production skills on recent albums, very few people doubt his sheer musical talent. A tour with just Prince and a piano has the potential to be a mind blowing musical experience. Nothing between him and his talent.

Everyone who goes to these shows, I hope you have a great time!

Me and my girlfriend have a whole plan ready to try and get tickets tomorrow morning. It'll be her first time seeing Prince, and my 15th. Fingers crossed!

Are you going by that previous link? That only seems to be for the stalls and the first balcony.

Probably be similar to Birmingham, or wherever the other prices were for. £55 and £85 plus fees. Maybe biggrin
