LOL. Even though it wasn't really a show show. More like a listening party. Kind of reminds me of the whole 3121 "golden ticket" thing, where I actually bought multiple copies for friends and family members hoping to win (yeah, I know, I was young, okay?) - anyway, despite being on the Org every day, I never heard who won or how they were notified until there was a little post about it well afterwards. Very anticlimactic. And based on who went, it seemed like the people were handpicked fans, and not just random winners. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

I wouldn't give up hope yet that the concert will be open to the public. Some of the PPAD events have been announced with only a day or two of notice. It's hard to see how a private concert for two randomly selected fans would help Warner promote these albums or the Purple Rain remaster, and this is a Warner-sponsored contest. Well...Just checking to see if I was blessed to win the tickets yet!! Just imagining a Paisley Park experience with a Prince concert..O my!! A P-Funk pilgrimage has been on my bucket list...for years. I would so love it!! Seriously, fulfilling that dream, would make this quiet extrovert's heart sing and and I would be so overwhelmed with joy that I would just glow, as well as, shine!! Do know I would dance until the dawn...and truly embrace the wonderful experience and incredible possibility!! An fabulous opportunity of a lifetime to experience up close and personal some of Prince's gifts,talents,energy,skills, artistry would be amazing!! Including the beauty,synergy and ambience of the big white mansion on the top of the hill...the Purple Motherland...would be outstanding!! So in actuality, I was thinking...ummmm...somebody/somebodies are going to be blessed...somebodies got to win... lol..might as well be me!!   Was it good 4 U?

There's no evidence of that. The contest was not widely promoted, and the people who were aware of it were mostly hardcore Prince fans, which means it was quite likely that the winner would fall into that group. Let's hope the concert will be open to the public so that others can attend. So we still don't have word on when this concert at paisley park will be. Its Thursday and he has until Sunday to make good on the contest deal. What's going on with this, it would be nice to know when this is going down, I'm assuming it will be Saturday and I'm also assuming it will be open to the public, but it would be cool to have official information about this show. | |
