Woo hoo. Got tickets for Birmingham first night, Manchester Second night & the Leeds date. Two gigs most expensive seats and 1 cheapest. Thank God for my credit card! I can't afford it really, but it's bloody Prince & he may be in his 70s until he does a gig outside London again, just like Leonard Cohen (who is excellent live I must add) London logistically the best place for me to as coming from Cardiff. And yes, you read it right Prince has never played Wales so I've always had to travel to England. And Londoners moaning about no dates, now you know how the rest of the Country feels. So happy after not being able to queue for 8-15 hours due to Medical problems in London recently and how upset I was over it that I'm getting to see him again. Even at a large venue.I think he will do a number of Greatest Hiits as it would be commercial suicide if he doesn't..Warner Bros need to recoup some of their Advance, they need to flog his back catalogue not just his albums hereon in. Although I would like nothing more than a set list of album tracks plus 1999 and Dirty Mind in there entirety but it it ain't gonna happen. Can't wait to see 3rd Eye Girl and really like his rocky sound..although my favourite P albums as you can see are anything but! *waves at Unique who was the other person who also was logged onto NPG Chatroom 24/7!

Can anyone seeing him bringing a horn section? If it really is the exact same show we seen in Feb then I'll be a little dissapointed. I'll know before hand at least from the reviews of Birmingham.

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I think it's the fact I got the £130ish tickets when I payed £70 in Feb to be 3 feet away from him for 3 and a half hours lol

But anyway, of course I'm going to enjoy it! Just seeing P in the flesh blows my mind cool

I did exactly the same thing! Very strange that you don't get a confirmation email; anyway, all you need to do is go to their homepage and customer services. Enter your email and you can get a reply with your ticket booking history for the past year. lol

Thank flinty...now i can see the damage i done with my credit card! neutral

If I might enquire as to the banal details of the event, does anybody know which bus I have to get from Birmingham New Street Station to arrive at the NEC?

Hi Funkyhead, yes I had the same idea. Going with my usual Prince buddies on the Friday to Manchester, but persuaded some of the family to come and find out what they are missing. 9 yr old daughter and hubby coming on Saturday to Manchester. Then I'm taking 18 yr old daughter to Leeds and crashing at her student digs after. That should be an experience in itself. Shame I couldn't persuade my son to come but maybe next time. Hope to see some from the org at the gigs. biggrin

Was this supposed to be Sold Out? I doubt very much at those prices. I thought the high prices were because he intended to do one show, and then he goes and adds another one.

Thanks, appreciate the help. I'm getting the train from Coventry and although I hastily booked tickets to New Street yesterday the train should stop at Birmingham International first, so I should just be able to get off there.

Yep ... trains from Coventry often stop off at B'ham International on the way to B'ham New Street and they run regularly.

Is it just me or does this thread seem strangely quiet, when compared to February hit and run uk, when everyone was pissing themselves cos p was playing in the uk with no notice, no advance sales etc. Im super excited!!! this is what we wanted is it not? Aside from Unique, who must be in cahoots with management with the amount of tickets he/she claims to have. Its Prince!!! I couldn't give a shite who his band is or where he is playing, I think apart from the 2-3000 orgers its not surprising its not a total sell out at these prices, and as for ppenguin, I would have paid 5x what you did to see half the show you did at koko!!!! there. I said it. get in. Lets GO CRAZY!!!!

I think the fact everyone has tickets and knows where they're going means there's not much to talk about lol In Feb, the constant guessing as to where and when he was playing meant the thread was always buzzing discussion.

I think for me at least there is still the question of where and when do we start queuing for the standing tickets (Friday at MEN) - and the size of the stage and standing area compared to the Academy - and what about queue comfort - at the academy u could go in and out the queue for a slash and use the venues bogs thanks to the numbering system. I'm old now. Comfort is a big thing!
