If it works like it has the last time or so (and that's a big "IF," there's no consistency at the park) if the gate is open and there's room you can park right in the park's parking lot. There are side streets that have parking available as well, though be very cognizant of no parking signs and fire hydrants as the Chanhassan police will ticket and tow. Depending on how many people show up, you can be walking a mile or more as well.

They say they are having a shuttle from a nearby lot, which in the past was the nearest Lifetime Fitness. Supposedly you would be directed to them the last few times but I was at 2 of the last few events and saw no signs or anyone being directed anywhere, but other folks found out about it, so you may need to find someone in a suit or "official" looking in the lot to ask.

Also - there is no coat check in the park, so plan accordingly. And no cell phones or cameras are allowed, so if your car is back at the shuttled lot it could be a hassle to get back and forth.

Is there an age restriction for this? I'd like to take my 14 year old daughter cause she's never been to PP.

All ages are allowed. I've seen every age range of children at the park over the years.

There is a coat check in the park now, or at least there was last weekend. The sign also said "phone check," so maybe you can even leave your phone.

I'll be heading to this tonight with a couple friends! Pretty excited. I was at the 3rdEyeGirl pajama party so I'm a bit familiar with the routine. I still have a couple newbie type questions...

- Since we're not expecting a performance, do you think it might not be so necessary to arrive particularly early? Maybe even possible to arrive after doors open and still get in? It was a bit hectic before the pajama party to say the least.

- Anybody know what kind of food/drinks we can anticipate and if they’ll be decently priced?

- Is re-entry allowed at all? I believe it wasn’t last time. But if this is going to be a lengthy and casual event it might be nice to step out for a bit.

- Sounds like some of you already know which DJs will be playing on which days? Could you elaborate on what to expect for tonight (Friday)? Sorry for my ignorance.

The what-time-to-arrive question is always a toss-up. I’m not someone who enjoys standing in line, even when there is a show, but then I don’t need to be right up front either. I prefer to breeze in at the last minute and tend to find a nice spot in the back where it’s easy to move around, dance and walk about and socialize.

With it being advertised on local news and radio there will definitely be more folks than usual but with no show, does it matter when you get in? If I go tonight (still undecided) I will likely plan to get there about 9 exactly and see what’s what.

Reports from last weekend were pizza, chips and guac and tacos as well as water and vitamin water for purchase. Water has traditionally been only $1 and it seems they price to things to make their money back and a little extra, so it’s generally on the inexpensive side.

Re-entry is up in the air as well. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Probably depends on who’s working the door when you ask.

I only know Lenka is spinning tonight as she’s a friend of mine and has posted about it on facebook. Word usually spreads there about what’s going on if anyone knows. An that’s all I know.

I am going to forgive you for what you posted.

The year is 2014 by the manmade system and IT IS a divine year of 7, fact.

Now, the song with the lyrics, "oh, seven and we watch them fall" IS a favorite of mine; hence, why in my free will, I typed it.

Lastly, comedic to you or not...stomping on my free will is rude, period. But, as previously said, I forgive ya, because I can and because I am in no way or fashion a mean spirited person.

With this being said, I do wish I could go to the event but simply cannot, as I am going out of the country on business.

My final note: I sure hope he plays the song 7 loud and amazing at Paisley during the event, so every one can here the "winning non-fail" of a song it is, fact.

Thank you kindly, have a nice day and I won't be responding further, as I don't band with any drama; whatsoever. This IS written in respect and love.

Take care,

Oh yeah are they charging $10.00 to park again, I think it was a scam, so that the parking attendant can pocket the money, I found out later that, later on they stop charging to park cause the attendant went in to party or work. UGH!!!! trolls

Hi, I think the lyrics are "All 7", instead of "Oh 7", I could be wrong, I know it is the 7 plagues from Revelation.......

Tonight was ok. It was about half full, the DJ was good, then a 6piece called The Max Band came out and did some good tight R&B covers. DJ came back on and people started trickling out a bit. At 12:30 the ladies of 3rdEyeGirl took the stage to announce a surprise, which was that Prince had rented out the Chanhassen cinema for free screenings of Divergence or Noah for all fans. Crowd reaction was pretty silent. Shortly thereafter the bouncers started to wave us out and by 12:45 most people were gone. So much for the 2am end time? I still enjoyed myself because I had no expectations. Probably won't be there tomorrow night.

Loved It! Looking forward to tomorrow night! Didn't go to the movie only because it's been a reallly long day for me, but i thought it was a cool idea and good choices. is that what help us find nemo meant? The Band was really good, great energy, and I was especially impressed with the lead singer's voice -- very beautiful! The DJ did an awesome job. This past week has been like one really long sleep-deprived day for me, but hearing the amazing mix of prince and other funky tunes just made me feel a lot better. we got to chill and dance in prince's studio! it's like his music's delivery room -- wow! I can understand if a lot of the attendees are students then $30 is a lot, but its like a positive club and historic site and just deliciously different. If i lived closer i would go more often. while i was waiting in the coat line, beholding the purple motorcycle (reminded me a bit of my old civic), 3rdeyegirl filed right past me, they are just lovely! And all the paisley crew is delightful! It's been a very satisfying purple pilgrimage, and tomorrow makes it twins!

And this sums up my feelings on the night as well.

We got there around 9:40, actually found a close parking spot and waited maybe 10 minutes in a short line to get in and check our coats.

Lenka was super fun as usual and did some really fun mixes. Between her and the cover band (who were not unpleasant and the singer had some pipes!) I got a good 2+ hours of dancing in for the 3 hours I was there.

I will say, logistics ran fairly smoothly and that's not always the case. A bit too long of lines for drinks & food so if they're going to continue these nights they may want to address that, but otherwise all went well.

When they announced the movies we headed straight for coatcheck and the car. I am old and was getting tired and was thankful to be let go. lol

I will also say - I think it was the first time I was at Paisley Park and didn't even see Prince walking through or hanging out in back. I was pretty sure within about 20 minutes of getting there we wouldn't see him last night and I didn't see the ladies mingling about either, no sign of them till they came out on stage.

Well there's always a chance, isn't there? lol

That said, I think the chance tonight is very slim indeed. He did not make even a walkthrough last night nor last weekend. I've also heard this "After Dark" deal is more Kirk's thing than Prince's, but that's just the grapevine.
