TM has a ticket transfer function so that you can receive the tix supposedly problem-free through their site. I haven't used it though. The tricky part is paying for it...

if you look at the clause in this sale it says all tickets non trasferable, only name it was issued to can use them so be careful

The Fox Theater website says the March 15 show is sold out but not on TM...

Prince is playing at Oakland's Fox Theater this weekend.

A Prince concert at Oakland's Fox Theater on March 15 was quickly announced and sold out around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, but there's still hope if you want to see his royal funky highness in the Bay Area.

It won't be a cheap affair, though. Tickets were initially $99.50 for general admission on the floor and $199.50 for a seat in the balcony, but floor space is currently going for $250 on the online ticket marketplace StubHub.

Prince performed a surprise concert at the Palladium in Hollywood last weekend. He treated the crowd to a three hour and 40 minute set that included his unstoppable hits as well as deep catalog cuts for die-hard fans.

Rumors of a second show being added at the Fox for Sunday (March 16) are so far unsubstantiated, but it would be wise to keep visiting the Fox website and Twitter feed for any possible announcements.

Between Prince fans and drunken slobs after a sports game, I'd much rather ride the train with Prince fans. If you've ever ridden a BART train after a night game lets out, you know excactly. Alcohol makes Bay area sports fans lose their home training about two seconds after I get off the train.

I called as well and got a similar, but arguably more encouraging response. I asked specifically about more tickets being released for Saturday and was told that she doesn't think so, but anything is possible. When I asked about the possibility of a Sunday show I was also told that anything's possible, but they have nothing to announce now.

I know Prince is Prince, but the whole appearance/disappearance of the Sunday show feels so strange given that they sold tickets for Saturday in a way that has resulted in a lot of scalping. Craigslist, Stubhub and Ebay seem to account for several hundred, and with a venue capacity of ~2,800 that's a meaningful number. Prince shows lots of love to the Bay when he plays here and seems to love doing so, so it seems weird we aren't getting another show when he added an extra arena date during his last run. Still hoping it just gets put up on TM again and the diehards who are obsessively checking get a chance before the big announcement. Good Luck everyone!

Thanks for keeping my (foolish?) hope alive, xMikeBx! It's a shame about the scalping, especially since the originally listed ticket prices were reasonable compared to last year's tickets for the DNA Lounge concerts.

So, I'm hoping this Sunday show happens... But what are the odds that there is an after show/party Saturday?
