You people complaining about paying £70 are got damn annoying, entitled brats. This is PRINCE! He's well worth $100 bucks and more to pay to see but people are really pushing their luck.

I've seen every Prince tour since 1988. These are the only ones I've missed. I live in Wales so notice is a problem. However, the reason I'm so devastated is I have mobility problems and can't queue for 7 to 11 hours as people have done for the few gigs there was notice. 1930 on day gig for friday, hello. It's so unfair on those who are diehard fans and can't through no fault of their own. I attempted to contact koko for two days by phone but "mon-fr only". Pfft on a sunday gig. Managed to speak to ronnie scotts but they were incredibly rude and hung up. So, so upset over the whole thing. And people are moaning over being charged 70 not 10..wish I had the opportunity

Prince has played something like 40 concerts in London since the last time he played in my part of the USA. FORTY concerts for you, none for me.

I saw Prince for £65 - 12 years ago at The Manchester Apollo... So £70 isn't that big a deal surely! If and hopefully when another London date gets announced my credit card is getting a pounding "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

It's a little more than I could comfortably afford but I still paid it. Also, although the spontaneous nature of these gigs did favour the folks of London village, they made up for it with KOKO where there was warning and people from all over Europe made it. What is annoying is that you can queue for hour and hours and your £70 can buy you a 90min show...and immediately after, the people who ambled up 10 minutes before the doors closed on the first show, they're let in And treated to a longer and often more 'rare' set list as happened at KOKO...an hour and 15 song difference is quite a discrepancy. But 90 minutes of a 'standard' set list or 2.5 hours...don't be boycotting anything, you'll cut your nose off to spite your face P-p-e-n-g-u-i-n......the P is silent

Here here. I was in shock myself when I heard he charged a tenner a ticket down south an up hear the there goin 4 £250. What's that all about. Manchester's only half an hour drive from me, thing ill go stand by the emergency exit, at least ill get 2 hear him.

Yeah, I was pissed when he said $10 and then we were charged closer to $16. I nearly walked away out of principal. RIP

£250 from the touts, face value is £70.
Only the first shows were £10, 2 Electric Ballroom and Shepherds Bush. Kings Place and Koko were £70 and Ronnie Scott's was £35, which seems like a crazy bargain considering the venue. I think the number of shows and prices have been something like, 3 @ £10, 4 @ £70 and 2 @ £35. RIP

Boycott Prince concerts....??????
No...
Personally, I think if you REALLY like any artist, not just Prince, you have no option but to accept their 'quirks' whether it's to your liking or not. As much as I'm sure he appreciates his followers, he can't aim to please us all. And why should he...??? It's his life as well - he has to enjoy what he does & do it in a way that suits him. He owes us nothing, despite what you might think. It's our choice to follow him, buy his songs, attend concerts, spend our money - no one is forcing us. Yes, it's a shame when some people can't get to a concert but you can't please everyone - that's life!!!
Look at the Manchester shows - ticketed. And what happened...??? Sold out in no time & true fans still not getting a look in & the touts making sh*tloads of money. How many of those true Manchester fans would have preferred to queue for hours than miss out altogether - I bet there's a fair number.
The queuing system worked for me & I was lucky enough to see him at SBE. I would love to go to Brixton if it happens but I am dreading a ticket announcement because I know it's sod's law that I won't be near my computer to buy tickets when I need to. I'd prefer to take my chances & queue knowing I'll at least be 'doing battle' with real fans, not bloody ticket touts.
For some, it would be an ideal world if we had a list of dates for shows at big venues where we all had a chance to buy tickets. For me, I wouldn't turn my nose up at that, but nothing beats the more intimate, less slick, small venues. And for that opportunity I'm happy to queue. For hours. In the cold. In the rain... I hope what I'm hearing about some tickets being available on the day is true for Manchester because it seems unfair they don't get the same chance as I & many others did in London.
And I'm gonna say it again... You just can't please everyone - it's impossible! [Edited 2/21/14 3:20am] From London... Cuckoo...!

Shame . Surely there would have been more than one person recording. Any news on Electric Ballroom? Would love to hear the start which I missed due to the unorganised chaos! RIP
