Back from the past (2007 to be exact!) Hey, I've come back to Prince.Org as I've heard that Prince will be doing some shows in London in 2014 and I'm just touching base to see if there any old faces/names from those wonderful 21 nights we had in London back in 2007. Here's to some funky nights in 2014 xxx |

When I tell people I went to 5 nights of that tour they always say "Why would you go the same concert 5 times?", and of course I always explain that I went to 5 very different concerts. I also tell them that some people would have gone to considerably more, perhaps every single night and every single Indigo gig. I guess it's hard to contemplate if you've never seen Prince live, or indeed if you've only seen him one night of a tour.
It was an amazing couple of months, but I think my favourite moment was in the middle of the tour. Before the show started the energy in the O2 was absolutely buzzing, the lights changed to red...
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you..."
The place exploded, and I think it's the best I've ever seen Prince perform. |

I did 12 main shows and 9 after shows, seeing Prince at 7 afters.
There are certainly people here that did all of the shows. RIP |

I was with the Org crew back in 2007 and met up with folks for the last night...was one of the best nights I've ever enjoyed! Met so many great folks (who was the dude who printed the Veni Vidi Funki tshirts that he brought for everyone)....trying to remember some of the faces!!
Slight shame that these latest shows are next month as it doesn't give much time to organise an Org reunion! |

Welcome back!
The ORG still runs great.
Don't be such a stranger.
I think a lot of oldies will start logging back in.

Another oldie logging in......
I loiter here every day.... but don't post that often... the last time to any extent was indeed 2007 duringthose wonderful shows at the O2!
I made two gigs.... one with my wife (where we took in the aftershow at the indigo...just the band turned up but it was still one hell of a great show) and one with my son (who had decided not to inform his mum and myself when we were booking that he wanted to go also.... the only time i have never lectured him as the end result was to my benefit LOL)
And yes... If I wasn't situated in London rather than in the Midlands... I would have done every night of those 21 and every possible after show!
Anyway... hi to you all.... and I will be hopefully bumping into a few of you at some time (gig) in February
Note... I'd listen to Prince play anything... hits (which can get a little repetitive) or not... it really doesn't bother me! What bothers me is the availability of tickets and value for money! Personally... I'd always prefer to hear something new with a couple of classics thrown in for good measures! We can Funk!!!! |

DaveT! My brother (Mentalist) mentioned you only the other night to me. The guy who organised the T Shirts was "Lord Marcus Mont"! I still have my T shirt, do you! We all met at the Holiday Inn up the road to the O2! We remember you! Hope we can get that O2 vibe back and meet up with some old faces from 2007. |

Ahhh Whitnail! Hello! Do you remember, the 21st Night of September! We do! I remember your cardboard cut out guitar and my and my brother's efforts to get you and your brother into the Indigo2 for the aftershow. I saw my brother last night and we spoke of that night. Oh what a night. Be great to meet up again. |

Oh my, just the words "Don't worry, I won't hurt you......." sends a tingle up my spine. Great memories. Time for some more very soon. |

Ahhh, the glow sticks on the last night! We organised our own and then when we got there they were giving them out! They stole our idea! |

Its all coming back to me now! I remember meeting your brother (Tony?) at the Prince boat party the following year in 2008...was good to catch up, and another catch up is long overdue. I seem to remember you looking rather fetching on the last night at the O2 when we all met up at the Holiday Inn. Didn't we all then trek up to the Pilot Inn and take over the beer garden?
Good times!
Well remembered on Lord Marcus Mont. He sold his spare last night tickets to a lady from down my way (I think he "hand picked" her from those on here who were desperate for a last night ticket!)....that looked quite cosy by the end of the night |

Yes, that's my brother - Tony - it's funny cos he only mentioned you on Monday night when he came round. We did meet at the Holiday Inn and then walked down to The Pilot Inn, the vibe around that time was awesome. Thanks for remembering me on the last night, I remember my dress well, it took so long to choose it - it was short, backless, and purple/black/white/raspberry paisley print! I don't have it now, too old to go out in that type of clothing now! I must tell Tony that you've been in touch and definitely meet up this time around. We're both scouting for tickets, whoever gets there first, so if we get tickets, I'll be in touch to arrange a meet up, 100%. I've been a bit absent from here since 2007 as it all seemed to die a bit after those magical 21 nights, so came back and posted specifically for the purpose of seeing if there were any old faces on here and it's lovely to see you're still about and great that you remember us, as we do you x |

That was a classic dress!...I'm sure you could still pull it off now It did die on here a bit after the O2, but I did stay in touch with a couple of folks and we went to see Springsteen in 2008, as well as the 2008 boat party. Had no joy in getting folks together for the Hop Farm which was a shame as it was an amazing show, great weather, great venue (and 20mins from my house!!).
I'm torn about tickets for this month, as it seems more chaotic and short notice than 2007 did, plus work is a nightmare for me at the mo. If there's a secure way of getting tickets though, I'm well up for an O2 reunion. If you do have any joy with tickets, give me a shout on here and I'll see about getting a ticket to, and trying to round up some of the troops on here I'm still in touch. Give Tony a purple high-five for me to when you see him next! |

I spoke to Tony this morning and said we'd chatted on here. He just text me and is seriously thinking of going to Camden later today! I won't though, I want a ticket in my hand before I step outside of the front door! We didn't go to the Hop Farm, regret that to this day. Definitely meet up though, we're both up for that x |

Tony is hardcore!! With the horrible weather, no tubes and being in work 'til 6.00 tonight is out for me to. And not to sound like an old fart at 33, but I'm not sure I can do the running round London for a ticket like I use to Guaranteed tickets and I'm there though...and I'll shut up about how awesome Hop Farm was, no one should live with regrets |

I'm with you Dave, 10 years ago I would have done it, but I'm not going all the way over there on the offchance I might get in. However, if tickets are released I'm more than happy to sit here on my computer all day trying to get one. There's nothing wrong with my refresh button finger!
