Really excited about this tour, nothing can beat Prince performing in a smaller venue - but just London ??

I think that the majority of people find London expensive & pretty intimidating during the nightime hours. There is more to the UK than London ! (Americans & British politicians please take note).

Saying that, of course I'll go to the concerts wherever they may be....

Well lets hope iconic does not include the Earls Court Exhibition Centre. Due to the ongoing plans to demolish it, it is no longer fit to hold events such as concerts.

Pretty much the same info as the other links, although it does suggest that the 3rd of February is the date for the press conference regarding tour dates rather than the date that the tour starts.

And that's what's driving me nuts about this announcement ... one states that "shows starting on 3 February" and the other one says that the press conference will be on the 3rd. So now what? For someone who needs to book a flight in order to get to London, this is pretty nerve-wrecking!

I can't see it. What with the lack of parking and train times in London, the second show would need to finish at 11 to make the last train. Which venues to you reckon he'll play. Is Hammersmith too big? Maybe Shepherds Bush?

Why should parking or train times be an issue? Prince has done many an aftershow/party in London over the years, some not finishing til almost the dawn.

I wouldn't b completely surprised if Prince has 2 shows per night booked. Personally i would rather 1 really long gig than 2 short (well short for him) sets.

ONe crush: In vegas, amsterdam you had to leave the venue after the first concert. Fair enough for the guys who were waiting outside to get in for the second show...So if there are 2 shows a night you have to leave after the first one....

Have to aggree - this is the bit that's confusing - it would make more sense that there's a a gap between the official announcement (press conference) with some lead up time to build hype...but the statement's confusing.

Personally I think the 3rd Feb is going to be the press conference in Liana La Havas's flat announcing dates for the remainder of the month. Small venues, high demand; I will die inside if I miss out on tickets

hearing about the big brother conversation i'm thinking this will be a publicity 'tour' rather than a real one for the fans - it will generate the press neccessary to sell the album. lots of the media darlings and rich barsterds of london will be invited (i'm sure kate moss and co wil be there) the likes of us mere mortals will probably be priced out (if indeed any tickets are made available to the masses).
