Prince & 3rdEyeGirl are back at Paisley Park and are getting ready for The Myth this Saturday! Not relying on the RAVE reviews 3rdEyeGirl got on LIVE OUT LOUD tour, PRINCE sent them a message early Tuesday morning; To arrange an INSTRUMENTAL version of the Peal Jam Classic "Even Flow". (um...WOW!) Sure to be a staple in their NEXT run of shows, this version features a guitar duel between Donna and PRINCE that morphs into Aretha Franklin's version of "Rock Steady" before reprising the end vamp of "Even Flow".
Our spies have been lurking around the Park and HOPEFULLY, we will have a snippet to share before this Saturday when PRINCE & 3rdEyeGirl storm the stage at The Myth! (This. Would. Be. Awesome!) There have been rumors circulating that scheduled 2 shows might be combined into one LONG 3-4 hour JAM! PRINCE has a LOT of musician friends in Minneapolis so let's keep our PLECTRUM's crossed. The one longer show rumor would be ok with me.
However, I am flying to MPLS to see and hear Prince and his new band. But not to see and hear any of his other musician friends in town currently that might join in.
(Former members of the Revolution are exempt from the above statement though)

Oh, lorrrrrd. What do I want to do here? I could totally drive up from Madison tomorrow. Early show? Late show? Which tier? Anybody been there? What is the balcony like? I don't care about getting on stage. I'd prefer to have a seat and and just enjoy the music without being jostled too much. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. What happens if I buy tickets for both shows and they get combined? Will they refund one admission or am I SOL? This is making me kookoo. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |
