It looks like the May 7th show is sold out but more tickets were released but you can only purchase with this password? odd! Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

Ticketmaster has no information regarding the additional ticket sale for the previously sold out shows. I thought The Grove setup would be a better venue vs San Diego HR to enjoy the shows, but not so sure now...not if their goal is to cram as many people in there as possible.

At least for the early show last night, which was the first to sell out, it was not overcrowded. I managed to get into Tier 2 near center right before showtime without having to push anybody. I thought it was a great venue for something like this.

I went to 3 of the 4 LA shows.
1130 Wednesday was the best. It's hard to imagine a better show.

I'm falling asleep but Great Great show. Loved this side of Prince altho he seemed familiar to me, not completely reinvented, as people are saying which was cool. Then again a bit disconnected. I asked my friend who was up front tonight if he seemed a bit disconnected, she said, yeah, a little, he was more connected to audience last night (she was up front both late shows Anaheim). It was a tight little show, but one complaint is too short! Am completely satisfied & loved all of it but I would've enjoyed more. Of course. Eclectic crowd y'all weren't kidding. I'm surprised the poster above just said best of the shows in LA was tonight's 11:30pm. I LOVED IT but some other set lists and energy sounded a bit more door. Again satisfied & I loved it. Ended up enjoying the no camera policy. Sorry this post sucks I'm literally falling asleep in the middle of typing, will try to post tomorrow...today?....later

The first show was ruined for me by my surroundings. A drunk, loud, obnoxious guy, and a truley mean woman.
The second show? I was close enough to count nose hairs.
Oh, and also this.

I'm not going to get into the specifics of the negativity but I will say that I almost didn't go to the second show because I was so put off by the behavior of some fans.
I'm glad I did. My sister and I walked right up to front of the stage (nearly the front) and enjoyed ourselves.
When you are staring up his nose, it really seems that he is performing for you. It's like he invited you over to his house and is just jamming. I felt as if I was part of the show, not just watching it.
Cool moments of the second show: stage dive threw his guitar across stage smiles and nods. my sister swore he was looking at her most of the time. It honestly felt like that.
He was screaming the lyrics to "how come you dont call me anymore." It was an unreal rendition of the song. So much passion.
If someone told me the fabled second Troubadour concert was better than this, I'd call them a damn liar.
Oh one last thing. I'm pretty sure Kate Upton was on stage dancing. Oh my. [Edited 5/9/13 10:32am]

^^ sounds like a great show, sounds better than mine (1st Anaheim show). Stage dive, throwing guitar... Awesome! I was very up close too, but not quite up his nostrils. I found myself lingering on his eye make up, how precisely ( and thickly!) it was applied. He looked very much like that Troy Gua doll, kind of unreal, doll-like. His body also looked very tight - his whole outfit was body hugging, except for a super fly 17th century inspired coat he had on at the very beginning. Do you recall some songs he played? And how did you meet the Twinz?

The opening Let's Go Crazy was too good & unexpected (even tho I read about it). Way to kick it off. Get us in the mood. She's Always in My Hair - Amazing, slow and sensual, intimate. Niiiiiice. How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore - he put his back into it (the vocals) I was wondering what all the hype was about on those tracks and no one exaaggerated, they were the hotness. I danced the whole time worked up a black sweat and was completely blown away as usual. Prince never disappoints and always surpasses my expectations. I'm glad the people up front felt connected that's what I was missing. Should've lined up at 5PM like my one girlfriend did and other girlfriend wanted to! Couldn't have, wouldn't have missed it! Couldn't wait for this Prince! Waited a looong time for this and it was delicious. Thank you Prince!

Heard he payed a snippet of Extralovable during the sampler set, my question is: was it the original recording or the new version?

For me, Prince is the consummate Musician...he just is! ~
I attended the early show and it was, you had to have been there, awesome! Some other songs he performed are: Fixyourlifeup, Bambi, Guitar, Sometime It Snows In April, Cause And Effect, The Love We Make-off the top of my head. I must admit, I was swooned by "How Come You Don't Call Me" on piano. I'm sure DocF will post an accurate setlist soon. ~
Initially, I was concerned about overcrowding, but I was able to get a spot up front (side of stage) with a good vantage point even after an eight o'clock arrival time. Like someone else mentioned, The Grove is perfect for small concerts.
~
I've read a few post where some have stated that they felt Prince was looking at them throughout the concert. I can only imagine how special that must feel...in which I have yet to experience...maybe one day.
~
My only regret is that I didn't attend the late show.

The second show was the winner last night. He played many of the same songs but the interpretation made them seem new. I loved it. OK, I could have used another song or two but we are not measuring by the yard here. I am just insatiable.
The first show had me against the balcony on tier three and those bright lights that were spinning around on the sides were aimed straight at my eyes. I am sure Prince did not intend it but it was painful. Really. I put on dark glasses. It was as bright as a lighthouse. Also, there were a few staggering drunks and the usual cellphone-waggers that are hard to ignore. They were more active in the first show. But most folks at both shows were fun. The second show I was close and the sound was better. Crimson and Clover and Why Don't You Call Me were high points. It always seems worth going to the later shows; he warms up. He was on. What a performer. I think this venue was a hair too big for this type of show. Up close it was great but from tier 3 you could not see his expressions. I saw him twice at the DNA Lounge and that was just the right size. But I am not complaining. Not one bit. [Edited 5/9/13 17:29pm] Philmoreliz

Apologies if someone has already posted this... During the 2nd show, when Prince was on piano performing 'Housequake' and other oldies but goodies, did anyone notice Andre Cymone dancing alongside Prince? My buddy and I immediately recognized him.
