The venue let the early birds in to the bar adjacent to the venue....we got to hear soundcheck, and he played DOLPHIN!!! Occupy Alphabet Street!

I'm on an oncall so I can't go (couldn't get out of it) - but the Seattle Showbox is reporting that Prince has offered up 50 tickets for each show for $100 cash at the door to benefit www.treehouseforkids.org ...something to keep in mind -

Opened with SOTT??!! Now that's awesome! Set's very similar to the best of the Vancouver shows, but I don't see Liathach on the list .. he played it all 4 van shows. My money's gonna be on Boom/Stratus for an encore at the second show tonight. Serious 3rdEye withdrawl for me .. wish I was there! | |

My ears are ringing and I have a very stupid grin on my face. For the first time in my life I was in the front! I'm struggling to find the words to describe the show so I will post what my boyfriend posted on his FB page: Ok, so the best way to describe this show, you have a friend who happens to be a world class musician and he wants to jam in your garage for a couple of hours. Since you have beer, you go ahead and say yes. He shows up with three hot girls who happen to be pretty good musicians themselves and they rock out for two hours. The light show has left me blinded and my ears are still ringing. Prince paid big props to the Seattle Maestro Jimmy Hendrix and left everyone in awe. The guy is an artist, make no mistake. He's worth every penny. If you can make this show and choose not to then it's your loss. | |

We must not forget there was plenty of cowbell during Bambi and Cause and Effect tonight.
Prince was having fun tonight, ripping the guitar to shreads. Making fun of those who took pictures etc.
KXB--Sott only in part-not anywhere close to being a full version.. (Jackmitz's got the go to set list) Nice meeting you Jackmitz!
The extended versions of SAIMH, I Like it there, and Cause and Effect where awesome!
I highly recommend seeing this tour.
And he was wearing 2 different blacks Genesia! They were close but not the same.
Also, I am told to tell you that Prince had salt and pepper chest hair.(Woman! Geesh!) 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |
