We must not forget there was plenty of cowbell during Bambi and Cause and Effect tonight.

Prince was having fun tonight, ripping the guitar to shreads. Making fun of those who took pictures etc.

KXB--Sott only in part-not anywhere close to being a full version.. (Jackmitz's got the go to set list) Nice meeting you Jackmitz!

The extended versions of SAIMH, I Like it there, and Cause and Effect where awesome!

I highly recommend seeing this tour.

And he was wearing 2 different blacks Genesia! They were close but not the same.

Also, I am told to tell you that Prince had salt and pepper chest hair.(Woman! Geesh!)

disbelief on the blacks.

And I told you he was wearing that big honkin' necklace to hide his gray chest hair! lol

I'm firmly planted in denial

Thought I'd take a few minutes to share my thoughts about last night's shows... As I mentioned earlier, the venue took great care of the people who showed up hours early, and offered us a chance to drink and eat in their "green room" bar. The menu, per Prince's request, was all vegetarian. As a vegan, this made my day. While there, we were able to hear soundcheck. Once in the venue, I made my way to the front, which got packed rather quickly. The show started promptly at 8pm, and the band tore into Sign from behind the curtain. After Sign, the curtain was opened, and Lets Go Crazy started. Never one of my favorites, it really took on new life as a lumbering blues-rocker. Ida's jam into Frankenstein was quite good. Endorphin Machine was next, and I freaked. It was really well played, though I missed the spoken "hold up, wait a minute" bridge. She's Always in my Hair followed a great Screwdriver, and it was a highlight. I was trying to recall if I'd heard it live since the Act 2 tour. Such a stellar version. P's guitar playing went from balls-out rock to subtle fills in a blink of an eye. After Guitar, he band kicked into Plectrum Electrum, which was SMOKIN'. Fixurlifeup followed, before one of the highlights...a 10 plus minute I Like it There. The playing on this song was mind-blowing, and the arrangement, complete with a lovely breakdown, was great. When We're Dancing Close and Slow was next, and that was a huge treat. A screaming Bambi, followed by a good 2Y2D brought us to the real highlight of the night, Cause and Effect. Now, I should admit that I'm a HUGE fan of this song, and I do not get the hate that the org-grumps dish out. The lyrics are honest, thoughtful, and just great. And the playing and arrangement on the recorded version sizzle. That being said, it's a KILLER live song. During the 2nd show, I got a nod and smile from Prince, as I was the only person singing along. Seriously, I can only hope that Cause and Effect makes it's way further into the live repertoire. A guitar-heavy encore of Let's Go, Crimson and Clover, and Dreamer closed the show. I should mention that P told a story about his dad taking him to see Woodstock as a kid, which was referenced again during the opening to Dreamer. He was in a GREAT mood for the duration of show # 1. The venue took special care of the people with ticket to both shows, and offered us first entry back into the venue. I ended up pressed against the stage, right in front of P's guitar pedals (which got a little intimidating whenever he would crouch down to fiddle with the knobs). I did chat with a stunning Seattle woman who was next to me in front of Prince...sadly, I was far too dazed to be good company, but she was delightful. The set was somewhat similar, with some songs moved around. I will say that P's solos were far more ferocious during the late show. The Encore kicked off with a weird version of Let's Work. NO synth!! Prince was playing the synth lines on his new Vox (which is a gorgeous guitar). U Got the Look was next, and it was fun. The band came back out for a sampler-set 2nd encore. Ida, Hannah, and Donna all danced around while P dj'ed. A great ending to a great night. As for the band....Ida and Hannah sounded GREAT. Hannah's energy is infectious. I'm not a fan of Donna's playing, really. She's too much style, not enough substance. But they were clicking, for sure. Shows 3 and 4 tonight!!! Praying for a Joy in Repetition and Dolphin.

Great review Jackmitz. I'm not a huge fan of the released version of Cause and Effect, but the live

version is WONDERFUL!

Love the Prince story of "My Dad took me to see Woodstock the film and after we saw all the naked hippies I got to see Carlos Santana (Insert Prince playing exactly like Carlos.). He went on and said he was excited to see Sly Stone (Insert Prince Playing exactly like Sly Stone.). Later in the show He said, then this other guy came on and did the star spangled banner. You may know him, he is from your town. (Insert Prince playing exactly like Jimi Hendrix). Then he leads into Dreamer-since it's inspired by Jimi." (Not actually quotes more of a paraphrase)

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I got there at 1:30 for the early show on night one, and 3:30 on night two. Even getting there at 3:30, I had a great spot up front.

Request for photo or video from the April 18th, 2013, 8pm show in Seattle, WA.

My friend Iva Handfull was the woman Prince pulled up on stage at the 4/18 8pm show.

She’s looking for any video or photos taken of her on stage dancing next to Prince. She wore the 1984 purple Prince costume, blonde mohawk, and sparkle mustache.

If you happen to have any footage of this remarkable moment, please email her at ivahandfull@ivahandfull.com

Here's her post-show photo for people to see what she looked like.

24hrdreamer

I was at the Thursday night April 18th 11.30 pm show, and was lucky to be picked as the first fan to come up on stage to dance during U Got the Look. I also was VERY LUCKY to find someone that took a pic, and even though its not the best pic, it does have me and Prince in it..lol I am curious if anyone else has found any "fans on stage" pics. I have searched google, and only found the one. I am hoping there is someone out there that may not have posted their pics online, or might be some on someone's FB page (but I would not know that, if I am not friends with them etc).

I also am crossing my fingers someone may have got a bit of video of it.

If anyone has any info, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

(That show was amazing)
