MINNEAPOLIS IS ABOUT 2 HEAT UP BIGTIME!!
PRINCE AND THE NPG ARE HAVING AN OPEN REHEARSAL AT THE DAKOTA JAZZ CLUB!!! The group Fun. has rented out Paisley Park so rather than stop rehearsals Prince decided to move the band downtown Witness 1st hand what happens as Prince and The New Power Generation gear up for their next tour. (We told you 2013 was going to be big!) Here is a list of what will be going down at the Dakota Jazz Club this week: Wednesday Night Soundcheck: New drummer audition and Improvisational Music. Also, DJ Rashida will spin new, unreleased music. Thursday Night: JAM!!! (consider this the afterparty vibe) FRIDAY: .......Surprise!! (don't miss this!) Minneapolis, sounds like you are in for a FUN FUNKY Time!!!! Also, on Wednesday night, 9 Central, there will be a spreecast with Drfunkenberry. Last week's show was watched by 35,000 people so far. No matter how bad I think his live act is, I will go as long as he is capable of a few outstanding song performances, no matter how much of Shelby "Put Your Hands Up" Johnson I have to endure. It's kind of like this: If I have to take a job where I can make a lot of money, I will put up with some annoying things.
Of course, the ANNOYING OVER POSITIVE PEOPLE...will Complain about my Complaining, and say I should just stay at home. Those are the same people that will try to get you to think that they really appreciate Tony M, and that the dumb policies at their job really make sense in their Office Space sort of stupid way.
I have hope for whoever is in the NPG at this point, and hope it is better than these half ass bands from 2006-2012. I guess Sonny T and Michael B hoping is asking for too much. It seems like you have to be a girl to be in his band now. I wish being a great musician was the requirement.
Still, I can't afford to go, so I won't take the trip. I'm stuck in the south, and will have to wait to see if anybody sneaks their Cellphone in there.
It's Kind of funny that he is saying NO Cellphones. Cellphones are pretty much difficult to pry out of people's hands these days.
YOU JUST KNOW SOME FINE ASS FEMALE WILL BE IN THERE TAKING PICTURES OF PRINCE, and will CRY her BEHIND off when she is kicked out of this thing. Sad, but it will be funny too. | |
