Melbourne Accommodation I'm flying in with my mate who I've talked in to seeing Prince for the 3rd Melbourne show. Any suggestions on where to stay close to Rod Laver Arena/ CBD with a decent reputation at a reasonable rate for 1 night is welcomed. Thanks.

go to wotif.com and pick a mystery hotel - they are normally awesome hotels at great prices - we got crown once for $100 each!! In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream

Close to the arena: Hilton in the park (bit crusty now) Sofitel on Collins (amazing but $$ used to work there hehe) Mercure on spring (good 3 star) Lindrum (arty farty lol) Get the best rates directly from the hotels website, try to avoid using wotif if u don't wanna be treated like shit by the staff & given the worst room.
