I could see a lot of the arena from where I was sitting (section 20 first elevation) and whenever the lights shone on certain sections, I could see that a LOT of people were sitting down for the majority of the show. Party poopers. Glad they all left LOL! Agreed that Prince seemed a lot happier once he got our smaller group at the end.

I was in the purple reserve section on the floor and pretty much everyone in that section was up and dancing for the whole show. I didn't really look around much so I assumed most people in the arena were doing the same. Its interesting to hear that they weren't. I don't understand why people go to a Prince concert to sit there with their arms folded. It would be great to attend a whole show like the encore, with just fans going nuts....all squares can stay home and watch The Block.

One other thing I found hard to fathom was the woman next to me, who was by herself, dancing and generally enjoying the show, going to the bar at least 5 times DURING the show to get drinks. Each trip taking 10-15 minutes. She literally spent half the show getting booze. Now, let's remember, she paid over $300 for a seat on the floor to see Prince perform...and she spent half the show going to the bar. She wasn't alone either...I saw a few others doing the same thing. It's just pathetic that so many Australians can't comprehend enjoying themselves without being sloshed. To the point that you're prepared to miss over an hour of one of the greatest performers of our time - who visits once a decade - to get tanked.

Don't get my wrong, I like a drink as much as the next guy...and have drink or two at the show by all means...but priorities people!...you can get drunk anytime....you can't see Prince anytime.

phew....I feel better after that rant.

That right there, is EXACTLY the problem of a big part of society the world over, especially the younger generations, I'm glad someone realises this..

^ I saw at least a quarter of the people in my section leave to get more drinks when Shelby and the girls did their little number. Poor form.

Seen him 9 times now ( 3 on this tour including Eatons Hill after show) and I have to say that the Sydney concert on 22nd was much better than that of 11th. It had the best ever concert version of Purple Rain I have ever heard. Also the full length version of How Come You don't Call me Anymore on the piano was amazing
