Firstly, no - not in the interest of self-promotion. If I wanted to do that, I'd post something with a bit of substance!

Secondly... Well. I don't really want to reveal too much about who I work for or anything, in case I wasn't supposed to tell anyone and get in trouble for it. But I got some tickets from a friend who works for them (before I started working) to the Hop Farm gig. Which was nice.

My boss told me that he was just recently confirmed to do a UK gig in the summer (and I immediately asked about tickets!). I thought, being a Prince fan, that this information was worth sharing amongst the rest of the Fam, as I'd hate to miss out, and would therefore like to know possibilities to see him live asap, no?

You're right, a bit pointless though. Like I said more developments when they arrive!

(Just thinking out loud here) I mean, for all I know, it could be the olympics of something. Unlikely, as he's American, and it's supposed to be a 'celebration of Britain' blah blah blah. But you never know.

We all know what he's like - evein if I could back it up, he might cancel it anyway. But for now, let's just wait and see, eh?

I was prob rather abrupt. apologies for that...but i still maintain its all ifs, buts and possibilities...we'll c...either way, if it turns out that he does do a uk show, if its yet another "greatest hits" set i won't bother.

Problem with this sort of thread, anyone can say they know he is doing a gig, but can not say anything yet.

Then if he does, they say how right they are, if he dosnt do a gig, the thread is forgotten.

HOW WEIRD!!!! Not been on here for a while and because of my dream last night, thought I would check a few things....

I dreamed that Prince was touring UK but only REALLY small venues, like 200 people max... I even saw detail on his shoes and shirt, it was that real!!

Maybe dreams do come true after all!!! lol (I think I'll keep dreaming though!)

Yes. He did say that, I was there and I heard that too.

Having said that....he also said a lot of other things that turned out to be bullshit so as usual when it comes to Prince, I'll believe it when I see it.

As far back as I can remember it was always something like:

You better call your mom/babysitter/folks, it normally meant an aftershow somewhere, rarely the main gig (with maybe the exception of le new morning)

it was maybe, but not anymore in the age of not so many aftershows that we are in now.

He could play the miners club near my gaff, 2U, The Nice Girls and Steps all played there recently.

I work for the largest ticket company in Europe and MY BOSS said that there is no chance of prince making any live dates in 2012, more details to come.....
