Just a rumor at the moment...

But, I work for a resonably large ticketing company in the UK, and my boss told me that Prince is coming back to the UK sometime in the summer...

Can't really confirm it myself, but more info as it comes!

Do you mean no live dates anywhere or just in Europe?

I work for the largest ticket company in Europe and MY BOSS said that there is no chance of prince making any live dates in 2012, more details to come.....

If there is no chance of him playing any live UK dates in 2012 then why do we need deatils? He is not playing the UK in 2012, end of. No?

One year ago there where no plans for a european tour either. With Prince and his current show-set up you'll never know. Not even YOUR BOSS.

(I do wish for him to create a show that does need more preparation and planning than what we have seen the last few years, but that's a different discussion)

Judging by the Poland date, it sounds like your boss talks out of his arse.

Apparently my brother's GF saw P in this music festival thing in Minehead. She was waiting for Joanna Newsom to come on then these 2 massive (real massive) security guards appeared with P. She seemed pretty certain cos you know how distinct he is. Loadsa people were trying to get a good look apparently. She texted me like instantly afterwards.

I thought it was b/s tbh but if theres UK dates, who knows...

PLEASE have UK dates!!~

I spoke with "big Shona" from Greggs today and she said that there will definitely be yoo kay dates this year. Apparently "big Shona" and her team of bingoids have been asked to do the catering.

Stop speculating.

He's not going to the UK.

He will go give a show in good old Amsterdam wink

Really.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

To the original poster: ignore the negative comments.

If anyone hears ANYTHING it's always worth posting it. Of course there have been plenty of occasions when stuff like this is posted and it turns out to be BS, but I every now and again there's substance to it. I always read stuff like this and simply take it with a pinch of salt, but if nothing is posted we won't ever know. There have been loads of aftershows I would have missed out on if people hadn't bothered posting 'hearsay'.

The important point here is people shouldn't refrain from posting rumours, and hope that there are enough people on here hwo know the difference between trying to help and knowingly lying just for sport or attention.

As a UK resident, I for one will be crossing my fingers as usual, so thanks for the info. Olympics sounds like a long-shot though...

I agree. We're all like a pack of wolves on here....so any slight bit of news then we're all over it.

I think this time round Australia has won (this where I find I've spoken to soon)

I can't decide if I'd wanna see another consecutive amount of dates in one place ( As the o2 arena and the buzz around it both times were incredible)

or I would like to chase him around different spots of the UK like Birmingham/Manchester and in a perfect world have him make a debut at my home country of WALES!!!!

Here here. Telling lies is bad but I too have learned of upcoming shows from hearsay. Nobody can keep a secret anyway.

Yes, Greggs the bakery.

And I was in Asda last night and apparently George are doing his outfits.

Has there been a sense of humour failure on prince.org?

Love the quote about digital music

What does he think CDs are? analogue?

There is no real difference as even MP3s are converted to analogue
