Go across the street & have Starfish & Coffee. All on Prince St.!!! Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

And here is what I saw walking in the city today.. in the corner of Sackville and Barrington streets
It's a gay bar, but they're doing a Prince afterparty after the show tonight... the place doesn't even look opened... but well... We'll see I have to wake up early tomorrow to go back home and get ready for Montreal's gig!

I see from Andy Allo's Facebook that apparently Prince and Co. did Get Wild. Nice little rare gem.

Came here to see if there was any news. I just used Google maps to zoom around Halifax and have a look see, including the venue. I was struck by the lack of greenery or trees in the city. When you don't have a case, yell RACE! | |

Just came back from the show (well, from the afterparty at that gay bar lol)
Show started around 8h30....and ended at.. 10h30 WHAT!!!!
Yeah, we got a 2 hours show, but it was good! It seemed longer because of the encores he did, but at the end it was 2 hours, we stayed, we hoped, we cheered, but that' was it
He opened with Controversy, and in the other songs I remember there were (not in order)
- a millions days - get wild - purple rain - kiss - Let's go - disco heat - take me with u - rasberry beret - make you feel my love - let's go crazy - 1999 - delirious - sampler set (when doves cry - nasty girl - darling nikki - TMBGITW - Sign o the times - Hot Thing - Baby I'm a star - Nothing compares to u - Don't stop til you get enough - C.O.O.L. - Cream - tiny bits of Housequake - and some covers like Get Down tonight...
He looked very happy , smiled a lot, danced a lot, seemed to have fun, changed clothes couple of times, overall looked great! Things I noticed that were missing.. I wanted Little red corvette, and he didn't present the band individually, I was surprised. He only took 4 people on stage to do a little dance contest. One of them was a guy with that fake mugshot of Prince, Prince did comment on the shirt like ''what is that? You wish I went to jail!'' Maceo was there and only did short solos.

Thanks for the update. Following Prince for many years and how he structures shows, I know I don't really have an idea, but I have a pretty good idea on how the setlist seemed. But he changes things up every now and then, so you never know.
But thanks for the update, glad to FINALLY know what was played tonight.

I can confirm that he did in fact play bass.
Hearing "Get Wild" was a very pleasant surprise but it was more of a jam than the proper song.
For anyone who cares about these things during "Get Wild" Ida was playing guitar. | |
