I saw Prince in Toronto on Friday 11/25. This was my first concert to see and hear the Purple Prince. I have been to many concerts over my 30+ years of going to concerts. Over the years, I was aware of his music and it had to grow on me. The songs that he penned and wrote really is a sign of a talented singer/composer and musician but I never was into him. My girlfriend is a Prince fan, a huge Prince fan, so I went to the concert with her, not really knowing what to expect. In the past, I never went to his concerts because of his image to me with the foul language, etc. because I'm a true, old school jazz, blues and R&B person.

I must say, I really enjoyed listening to him play his songs and truly he is a great entertainer! I would say he is part of the King of the concerts now. I have seen a lot of entertainers from the Temptations, Commodores, Earth Wind Fire, Anita Baker, Mary J. Blige, Parliament/Funkadelic, Dells, Dramatics, Isaac Hayes, Whispers,etc (didn't ever see Michael Jackson).

Out of all of those concerts and all of the concerts I've ever seen, Prince's concert was the best! I enjoyed that he composed and wrote all of his songs, he is a great guiter player and I've heard quite a few...

All in all, I would say he sets the bar.
