well judging by his history here,

1994 (diamonds and pearls)

2003(prince live)

he should be back in 2013 or 2014.

every 10 years or so...oh and he wont be touring anywhere except Sydney and Melbourne.

His last Brisbane show didnt sell out so i doubt he made enough $$ to warrant touring outside of syd/melb again.

if you go to the Byron Bay Blues Festival web site you can submit a list of who you want to play next April. They have announced the first artists to commit, which includes Maceo.

i put Prince top of my list; maybe Maceo can exert some influence if enough of us ask for Prince to play?

He likes money. So I would suggest to offer him lots of cash, and he will show up.

FWIW, I just got my weekly Showbiz bulletin (ticketing agency) and they have Prince listed under "rumoured concerts". I added myself to the waitlist offered.

I know rumours fly around every 6 months or so and this year there have been more than usual (which is perhaps just the natural occurance, the more time passes), but AFAIK these guys don't let you add yourself to any artist waiting list like some sites - only specific events they have some cause to think might go ahead.

That said, given that they obviously don't cite any source for their rumour, it remains as unfounded as the others - to put it in perspective, the other rumoured concerts are George Michael, Lady Gaga, Pet Shop Boys, Cold Play and Duran Duran
