Yeah, but these are rumoured dates. If these dates are true, we have to wait at least 3 weeks before we know it's confirmed and official. lol

Important not the exact dates - the dates may change - it's important if he really plans to come to Europe this winter...

Winter is not an issue, aside from the fakeness factor of these Euro dates.
It is sales and failure of sales. (see the recent south american festival cancellation)
That is a serious issue that can hurt fans via plane/hotel/etc reservations.

I would not put my money on this schedule.

by the way, if he comes, he needs a new album or a new concept (fresh setlists) first.

He plays golden oldies always right?

Mixed with songs of latest albums.

I do support a new cd, I'm ready for it.

And I would love to see him in London again, however, I wouldn't bet any money on it.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

yep

if he comes now wit the same stage-setup and the same setlist, it might be the first time since 1987 that i'll skip a tour.

Yeah, paying another €100 to see the same thing all over again... No, thanx. But it is Prince we're talking about. He'll be sure to throw in some surprises.
And I can do without a new album. He's made so many already and I'm fine with that. Besides, acts like Prince or the Stones sell tickets because of their reputation, new album or not. The Stones even toured to support a compilation or a live album. In other words, they'll use any excuse to go on the road.

I sure hope Prince will never become the sad act that the Stones are.

The shows last year in Benelux were the best shows in this European tour (I think) So if he comes back soon, I hope it will be just as good or maybe even better. But yes, it's okay that he does his hits, but the setlists should not only contain old/hits material. imo. new material or more unknown material would be cool! Performances like NSJ (second night & third night) are very good example of that.

But I hope for a new album first actually.

That's right, Prince never repeats itself, he is always different and unpredictable...

I sure hope Prince will never become the sad act that the Stones are.

In many ways, Prince is more sad than the Stones. I like P 1,000 times better, so I'd rather see a poor Prince show than the best Stones show ever. Still, I have seen the Stones 2 times, and own around 10 different shows on DVD. Most of the shows are over 2 hours, and there are no background singers singing lead on 5 songs or more a night.

I saw Prince 6 times in the Carolinas, and not a single show was over 2 hours, and Shelby, as great as she is, did too much singing. Prince did a great show in Charlotte, but too many songs were shortened, and this band is disjointed, and now he has some girl(Andy Aloe or whatever), who just learned to play a few years ago. (For those saying the Carolina shows were over 2 hours...Prince being backstage while Shelby sings does not count....Prince sang for under 90 minutes at every show..sometimes less than 75 min...and many songs had limited vocals, while Prince danced around. Kiss is a mess, as he simply held the microphone to the crowd for nearly half of the song..)

Prince is the greatest ever, but at some shows, he was clearly going through the motions. Sure, the Stones are over the hill, and not what they used to be...

I just can't keep making excuses for Prince, when he hardly ever plays anything past 1992. I'm tired of people telling me how great the LA shows were, or how he played 3 hours in Germany, or wherever...The man should play great shows every night. The One Nite Alone and Musicology tours showed he can be great when he wants to. He just doesn't bring it every night.

I wish he was willin' 2 do the work on a more consistent basis.

Think about it...songs like Computer Blue, Dorothy Parker, Forever In My Life, and many others should be in the set every night...but no...we have to deal with "Play That Funky Music," or countless songs I could care less about. When you pay $500 for a VIP ticket, and you get one of Prince's lazy shows, you feel cheated. Yeah, I know 65% of the ORG would rather hear Shelby sing than Prince, and they would rather hear covers than Prince originals. I know I sound like a stupid complainer, who is crazy to think Prince could play 20 full length songs a night, and actually sing lead on them...but I know I am just beating a dead horse here.

Of course, these overly positive fans seem to ignore most of the recent albums. I think Prince is the greatest over 45 studio musician ever. He's made some great albums that not only his fans ignore, but Prince hardly ever plays these songs live. I was so excited on the Musicology tour, when he played "A Million Days," at the Bossier City show, but he still cut it short... sad

Javi

One more reason why it's fake: it says "Madrid". Not possible unless he plays in a place for only 1.500-2.000 people.

He hasn't any followers here. He could even play at my house.

But I do think that he comes back soon next year, that's the only thing I think.

He is expected to come back early 2012 to Europe. It was "rumoured" by the same person that announced the Canada tour on twitter.

Do you have a link to that twitter account?

Do we take the zeitgeist into consideration?
Some countries are near bankruptcy.
So how real are shows in that situation?
