Wow.. Yesterday was good, tonight was perfect (for a large audience concert). He gave the crowd everything they wanted, and then some.. If you take away the aftershows, this was the best Prince concert I have witnessed.

Highlights:

- Little Red Corvette

- Nothing Compares 2 U

- Sometimes It Snows In April

Now to bed.. With a smile. On a purple high.... smile

Highlights for me were:

-People get ready (love this song)

-Anotherloverholenyohead (great guitar)

-Sometimes it snows in April (should have played the whole song, though)

AND going to the concert with my 11 year old daughter. More people should bring their kids! They need some decent upbringing.

EDIT: I don't think he mentioned "how many hits he got" or "real music by real musicians" during this concert....

[Edited 8/3/11 15:53pm]

EDIT: He mentioned Maceo was backstage, but he never came on stage, I think.

Yes, no pics. This time the security guys asked the front row people explicitly that "he didn't want to see cameras - not even mobile cameras". That seemed to work (for him anyway). bb

Couldn't agree more. I went with my 14 year old. Allready her second Prince gig. She was introduced to Purple Rain (the movie) about three years ago and has been totally hooked since. It interesting actually how she approaches the songs. She got access to all my prince material in one go. And she has found new favorite songs from his later albums, just as well as the traditional favorites from the golden era.
