Please forgive my lazinesss, my Dutch isn't great so I'm hoping someone can answer my questions.

I'm thinking of travelling to next weeks show and I need 2 tickets.

Is the venue seated or standing?

Are tickets still available? (Or are sales be staggered?) If not - is anyone willing to sell me a couple of tickets?

I think I'll be staying in Amsterdam - how are transport linsk before and after the show?

Any pointers will be much appreciated.

The night net should be able to bring you to Amsterdam.

Now, the venue is called Ahoy Rotterdam. It's a typical indoor sportsarena and for this type of show it can hold an audience of up to 11.000. It has an arenapart (standing tickets) and two rings around where people can be seated. Overall, vision is pretty good to excellent, quality of sound depends a bit on who's behind the mixing desk that night. During the North Sea Jazz festival, quite some complaints were made about the soundquality - and with reason. It was ridiculously loud and pretty unbalanced- something for which Prince apologised during the second night. I would say there's quite a chance they got their stuff together for the 26th.. About tickets: on ticketmaster.nl you can find out if there are still tickets available. Otherwise, try a site like tickets.nl - you'll be likely to pay more, but at least they're trustworthy.. Transport: if you decide to stay in Rotterdam, you certainly must try 'Hotel Bazar' - very wellcentred, great ambiance, great breakfast. In case of full: go to 'Hotel New York' - also very close to the venue (about 15 minutes by metro) and a beautiful piece of architecture, view and a good kitchen. Ok - I'm from Rotterdam, so I had to do this. You said you wanted to stay in Amsterdam. Also cool-I live there now. Why don't you google some hotels? If I were you, I'd stay away from those filthy dorms and youth hostels the streets are covered with. Check out some boring Ibis-hotel (you know, the chain)- it might be ugly and uninspiring, but at least you know the bed's clean and there won't be bugs in your shower. Don't forget to find a place to stay soon, since the summerseason is full on. Last thing: transport between Rotterdam and Amsterdam should not be a problem, also not at night. From the Ahoy venue you take a Metro to the Central (train) Station (about twenty minutes) and from there a train to Amsterdam - takes about an hour up to an hour and a half (depending on what time's your train. If you want to check your options now already, go to ns.nl - which is the national train website. Trustworthy. Enjoy the concert! (and don't forget to bring your earplugs, you never know!)

Very thorough update but one remark: sites like tickets.nl are not trustworthy, in fact concert organization Mojo occasionally invalidates tickets bought at resellers like these. The concert is not and has not ever been sold out yet, see the European tour sticky for the link to Ticketmaster. If you don't like the quality of the available tickets try to buy better left over ones face value at http://prince.org/msg/9

Thanks for all the info people. I think I am staying with a friend in Amsterdam. Can anyone tell me if trains run between Rotterdam and Amsterdam run through the night? If there is an aftershow ?(slim chance) in Rotterdam, Id like to be able to hang around.

Yesterday there were only 70 tickets left (2nd ring) so over 14000 tickets are sold so far.

If you want to buy tickets be quick. And YES there are trains between Rotterdam and Amsterdam at night.

yup, night train available, hourly service

Be carefull though when coming from Amsterdam. there's a super fast service called Fyra, it uses the high speed line but a surcharge is necesseary. Bought on train this will set you back 12 euros, while it's avaialble at the ticket machines at 3 euros. Esp on your way to Rotterdam it's worth the extra money, not sure if they still run by show's end.
