They should have priced the GA standing tickets cheaper - not have a €10 difference between pit and general standing - most people I know paid the extra €10 to be closer to the stage. As I have said before, I was shocked at the size of the pit (or gold circle) at the Arras concert last year - it was huge!!!!!!!!

My dilemna is... I want to go to Gibney's for a few pre-concert drinks and to hear the band playing there, but a friend in my group wants to start queuing straight away at the castle to ensure she is up front in the pit... I do want to be close enough, but the thought of waiting at the castle for hours before the gates open.... Im too old for that!!!!

You can park all along the coast road from Portmarnock to Malahide. I have done this for Malahide gigs in the past, worked for me. And its free.

After reading this and out of interest I've just been on ticketmaster.ie and if I wanted to could purchase a ticket for pit standing - have they increased the size of the pit or just doing their normal trick of "releasing" tickets that were previously sold out?

Just back from Malahide park and I can tell you construction of the site is well underway with Block A & B already built. The good news is that it is a very small space overall as the paramter fencing is already up too. Every seat / standing position will be a good view for sure. I am baffled how 30K will fit though, looks more like 15-20K capacity very max.

The selection and announcement of the Prince @ Malahide Castle (July 30th) support bill is the prerogative of Prince. With that said we are hopeful for news early next week. Prince will be on stage at 20/20:15.
