rumours indeed, but everything indicates this to be a pretty sure thing. Let's hope it's true!

yes yes ridiculous indeed. That's what I also said about the ticket prices for the show in Antwerp of November last year .. and I seriously regretted not seeing him afterwards.

So I guess I'll be paying up the 128€ for the golden circle. and keep an eye out for any pre- or aftershows well, which can be ridiculously expensive as well.

One month to go ... better start saving already.

Is € 79,- that ridiculous?, don't get me wrong I have to save up for that too but, I think other big acts are even more expensive.
Still,... I see the Ahoy gig on the 26th is about the same.
What can you do?

i agree, 79euro is the price you pay today to see a big name live. If you go see other big acts you'll have to pay up pretty much te same or even more.

I couldn't help but check some ticket prices in the past to find out, well let's see about ten years ago
ticket prices were about 65 Eur. so 78 Eur. is not that strange nowadays.
Especially when you consider that people think they don't have to pay for there music anymore (I mean everybody thinks we don't have to buy our music anymore but just download it).
Back in the day, concert where there to support the album sales but that's not the case anymore is it?, so I think we shouldn't complain too much.

Am I making any sense?

15 years ago a ticket was 45 guilders...about 22 euro...that is what i paid for Den Bosch...

Got my tix ... 45 minutes after the opening of the phonelines and internetsale, there were still gold tix available ... guess some people (like myself) were disappointed in the HUGE gold circle of Werchter last year ...

happy happy happy!

at that place, you should have been giving money to show up. not for the shows, but for the 'venue'

So glad I'll be attending the concert in Ghent !

However, has anyone else noticed that ordering tickets through www.sherpa.be was more expensive than ordering them through the Dutch site www.ticketmaster.nl ?! That's weird. (Or is it just "typically Belgian" (as in "don't bother trying to understand") ??! What really raised the price on the Belgian site was the "cost of delivery" which was an additional €9. The option to just print your ticket did not exist. Well, at least it wasn't available when I ordered my tickets. Maybe other people did have a choice...

Still, the price difference is so small I won't be losing sleep over this. And I won't even have to think twice about attending an aftershow (if there is one) biggrin.

Rumor has it that the Vooruit is hired for the afterparty. Seriously doubt that, considering Prince changes his mind at the drop of a hat, but hey, now you've been warned/informed.

Yep, He's back in Ghent! After all, it was where it all began for me way back in the nineties (concert-wise). (25/5/1992-Flanders Expo) So Ghent welcomes Prince for the fourth time!

What Stijn said on Stubru was that people in Ghent wouldn't have to go all the way to Brussels (where the 2 last viage aftershows were held) for an aftershow. He has a connection with Nathan Ambach, who if I'm correct also organized the last 2 aftershows? So indeed it would be possible that he might have told him the vooruit was being considered. That said, Prince is Prince so there might not even be an aftershow at all (I remember the rumours of him playing Petrol in Antwerp as an aftershow for Sportpaleis last year). But Stijn has always been a reliable source for Prince news. I won't be going to the main show unless someone can hook me up with cheaper tickets (saw all 4 shows in Belgium last year, too much money to spend on another one). But if I hear of an aftershow, I'll definatly try to be there. Though Prince has been hyped in Belgium after the last Viage show and Sportpaleis gig, lots of people who weren't into him before started getting interested after hearing about the exclusiveness of the Viage gigs and the good reviews of the sportpaleis show. Werchter wasn't sold out at all and they had to give thousands of tickets away through a local contest, I don't think sportpaleis was completely sold out either. But Ghent sold out in about an hour, which shows interest in him has grown over the past year. If there is an aftershow, people will want to go to that as well, so I imagine it will all be a bit more crowded/ difficult to get into this time!

At least three people contacted me. Only one called it bluff at first sight.

Actually it did happen before that aftershow tickets were sold long in advance. Remember the O2 Indigo disaster?

disaster?

not on every evening..

bvut of course it is just noy possible that at this moments tickets are sold for an aftershow. Afterparty, that's another thing. Nobody can be sure now if there will be an aftershow (until just about the very last moment....).

I see the normal aftershows in a different light than the pre-arranged IndigO2-shows.

(yes, this is no opinion about the music)

no one knows whether there is going to be a prince show until Prince himself, after the main show. Last time in November, they had planned an aftershow as well, but one of the musicians had hurt herself and needed medical treatment, so the aftershow was canceled.

I can sure believe that some venues are being held for this evening - vooruit, viage , petrol , and so on .. but we won't know what until after the concert in Gent.

A little early but I'd like to make this request to fellow Org'ers who'll be going by car.

I'm a 21 year old student, and I'll be going to the show by train. If there is an aftershow I'm definatly going to that as well. Now if the aftershow is in Gent, there's no problem, but if it happens to be outside of Gent I have no transportation (trains won't be running anymore) so I need to find another way to get there! So if there are any people here who know they'll be going by car and want to go to the aftershow afterwards as well, just send me an orgnote so we can arrange something. Of course I'll be more than happy to pay for gas.
