I think I'll be able to snap up a great ticket 'day of show' for Friday and Saturday. I have Sunday tickets already. So, ihatephish, are you going Fri and Sat? Still want to meet up before??

At first, I thought what he said COULD mean the end of shows at the Forum. His actual words were "I have 3 more shows at the Forum." So maybe he meant 3 more shows this week, or 3 more shows this month, or just that he has 3 more shows that are on sale.

All I know for certain is that these are only shows currently on sale. I've read rumors on here of more shows in June at the Forum, or that he might play some other venues (Wiltern, Staples, Arrowhead in OC), but again, we'll have to wait and see.

The other clue is the last show at the Fourm was considered show #12 (based on the VIP passes given out). So by this logic, the next 3 Forum shows are #13, 14 & 15. That would indicate the intention to do 6 more large venue shows (maybe at the Forum or maybe somewhere else).

I don't think the small venue nights (Troubadour & House of Blues) are included in the 21 night count.

Just my opinion.

I know that I saw Prince at the Forum one of the nights, and he said, "We'll be here THURSDAY, and FRIDAY, and SATURDAY" and he was really selling it.

But it ended up just being Friday and Saturday that week. So you have to take what the guy says with a grain of salt. I think he's just making it up as he goes along. Indeed, the minute he said "21 Nights at the Forum" his handlers came out and said, "ahh....they might not ALL be at the Forum, um....."

Nevertheless...I think at least one show this weekend is a MUST! Energy will be off the roof.

I hope to God he plays full songs!

Three more nights at the Forum does not necessarily mean the end of the LA residency. Nor does it mean that more nights can't be added.

I think it's pretty much safe to say that this weekend will be the last at the Forum. In no way shape or form, do I think it has to do with how long he has it booked for or anything of that nature. Seemingly, Prince can perform at the Forum any time he wants to. I think after everything has been assessed, it's time to move on. The people of L.A. have been afforded an opportunity to see this great musical performer for $25, and if you haven't seen him by now, oh well. He's still a businessman and it's bad business to keep trying to get blood from a turnip.

I agree with purplepurple and your suggestion that the residency doesn't end with the Forum. In fact, I'm relatively sure "It Ain't Over." Man, I've been wanting to hear that song....we almost got it last night...I digress. It's been confirmed that there are other venues on hold for Prince's disposal, but history has proven that means very little in the grand scheme of things when it comes to his decision making. I also remember what purplepurple is referencing when the promoters announced the first week that all 21 will not take place at the Forum.

What I would like to know is: Does anyone really want to go back to Forum after THREE MORE SHOWS this weekend? I love seeing the guy in concert, but I'm getting to the point where...okay....had lots of fun...thanks for the memories....see ya next year.....peace out.

Anyway, my bet is he'll do a few more Southern Cali shows at venue(s) to be announced next week and prepare for Europe shortly after.

Yes, my son can sayhis first concert was Prince as a six year old. Very well worth the $100 for his ticket that night because I had a blast... the Time opened up

probaly a small or mid size arena if at all next week ,will be almost no advance warning...

Took my seven year old to the last Forum show, he had a blast, up there dancing his heart out. I think back to when I was his age and the concerts my parents should have taken me to, no reason not to drag me along to the Forum to see Elvis! I could lay claim to having seen 'The King', well, now my son can grow up laying claim to having seen Prince, no better bragging rights than that!

We took my older girls to see Prince in San Jose! Although they don't listen to his music with me they really enjoyed it. Sheila was their favorite though, my oldest put it on her FB. Everyone that we sat close to told them how lucky they were to be at his concert!

So any word on who will be opening Sat and Sun?? Can't say I enjoyed either of the opening acts I've seen on this run so far, hoping that changes!

anyone else refreshing ticketmaster every 15 mins to see if those $25 day-of-show tickets are gonna come up? i find it hard to believe that there are no $25 colonade seats left seeing as how the colonade section has been 75% empty the last couple of weeks

i'd keep waiting. i couldn't pull four "$55" seats earlier and now i can in the loge section for tonight. if nobody buys those, im sure they'll drop 'em to $25 in a couple hours if they don't sell.
