Fans say no 2 curfews....let's get campaigning

Orgers,

Last night I had a feeling that Prince would have gone on 4 at least another hour, but the stadium curfew meant officially they had to leave stage at 1130. I think it was about 1150 when they left, and a lady had 2 come on stage and tell us to leave as nobody was budging....

U should start lobbying ur local councils etc...... to stop this idiotic practice.....

I will be in Malahide soon for the Dublin concert.... I know in Ireland this is strict. Let's start a campaign to get this going...so that if P is in the mood he can keep going and going and going.....for as long as it till we can take no more F.U.N.K......

let's see you persuade the residents in the area to agree to no curfew. they are there so people can go to sleep without hearing concerts all night

Maybe they should start earlier?

No curfew for statring at 20.00 and then jamming to midnight.

They know all about the curfew and the setlist is designed for that, and leaving the gullible thinking they really wanted to carry on.

I think the last DART from Malahide is 23:05 - which I wanna get, so kinda hoping he doesn't jam into the small hours cos that would be frustrating to miss. I am however staying round the corner from Tripod, so feel free to do an awesome aftershow Prince!

Last DART to Connolly (and it only goes as far as Connolly) is at 23:35.

I don't think you'll have a problem getting the 23:05 though, I reckon the concert will be over well before then.

Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

I'm from the Hop Farm area and there are no houses nearby that would have been disturbed...I think they should have let Prince go a little longer, he looked like he was having the time of his life and had more in him!

i guess the curfew rules apply to a wider area such as kent or england or uk, so everyone has to play by the same rules regardless of where they are. there are probably few places where few people are around venues to be disturbed, compared to the many in other places. i know that i can hear noise from one or two places miles from me sometimes

Just read in another forum that the locals want a 1030 curfew, maybe 1045 lmit. I am Irish and this is ridiculous. The Pubs probably want everyone in for last orders. THe publicans have a lot of influences in local politics, councils etc.... Why can't we be more latin.... time to grow up a little.....Let's just have a good time..... I have been in villages in France for festivals that end at 2 in the morning, no trouble, alll ages mixing and no drunk teenagers falling around all over the place...

Let us get r funk on.....

What makes you think you should have more say than people who actually live there? rolleyes

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Well I did in this particular neck of the woods for quite a while. I count myself as an honory Fingalian. The castle is bit away from the Village and even though the sound will be heard, this is not an everyday event. I lived beside Croke Park for years and I even survived having Garth Brooks coming through my window for 6 days in a row. I didn't Begrudge these events happening on my doorstep.

Anyways 2230 for an outdoor concert is ridiculously early by any standards. In Ireland it is bright until past 10 in the summer, better cancel the lighting Manager that night. Good job Woodstock wasn't in Ireland smile

The silver lining - maybe this gives us enough time 2 get to a possible aftershow....
