Den lille musiklegende har udvidet opholdet i Danmark og optræder nu også på NPG Festival om søndagen

Prince har gæstet Danmark adskillige gange indenfor de seneste par år og nu kan fans af den lille verdensstjerne sætte endnu et kryds i kalenderen.

Musiklegenden har nemlig valgt at tilføje søndag den 7. august til NPG Festival, hvor han i forvejen optræder lørdag d. 6. august. Ifølge arrangørene kan publikum se frem til en koncert der vil byde på en ny setliste i forhold til lørdagens optræden.

Festivalen har føjet en ekstra dag til programmet og kan allerede nu præsentere to nye navne der sammen med Prince optræder søndag.

Jacksons arvtager
Janelle Monae som er blevet udråbt den oplagte tronfølger for Michael Jackson. Med musikalsk referenceramme til et utal af stilarter som pop, elektro funk, jazz og soul spænder Janelle Monae ultra bredt på den musikalske skala. Med hendes debutalbum ’The ArchAndroid’, som blandet andet indeholder hits som 'Cold War' og 'Tightrope', står hun i dag som en morgendagens absolut mest lysende stjerner. Monae optrådte så sent som i søndags på Roskilde Festivalens Cosmopol scene, hvor hun høstede flotte anmeldelser.

Den amerikanske R&B singer-songwriter Nikka Costa gæster for første gang dansk grund, når hun optræder til NPG. Nikka Costa formår på bedste vis at kombinere elementer af funk, soul og blues på én og samme tid. Talentet kommer da heller ikke fra fremmede. Hun er datter af den berømte producer Don Costa og guddatter til hendes fars mangeårige klient, Frank Sinatra.
