Just came back from the concert. The show was solid but not very impressing. What was shocking to me was that the set of LG was EXACTLY the same as it was in 1998 when I last saw GCS...

And BTW: WHO IS THAT GUY WITH THE GUITAR WHO ALL OF A SUDDEN JOINED PRINCE DURING THE FIRST SONGS??? (Can't remember which song but the picture speaks for itself....)

Good question... I thought he was a guitar tech because I saw him repositioning Prince's pedals at one point but I don't know why the hell he came up on stage. He looked very pleased with himself, haha. He was on stage a few seconds then walked off on his own--Prince didn't seem to have any reaction to him being up there. Curious.

I am pretty sure he IS the guitar tech. I saw him in LA when I had VIP tix. He stood by the speakers and handed P his guitars.

It does look like Chick but unfortunately Charles “Big Chick” Huntsberry passed away in 1990.

i think he is the guitar tech also, i saw him giving prince his guitars. he was also next to bria talking to her most of the night

Guitar tech guy. I also vaguely remember him from an aftershow concert. Also note the guitar strap on the guitar, the same leopard patterned one on Prince's other guitar. He was probably doing a soundcheck thing up there. Cool that he just appears and disappears like that on stage! I love how Prince's shows can be super detailed and planned and yet change on the spur of the moment.
