There is another "rumour" on Twitter that he has a 2.5 hour timeslot... Bear in mind I have used rumour and Twitter in the same sentence lol

Double-check thumbs up!

It's been said before and it'll be said again, but does prince really think ANYLONE is interested in his boring, JW support acts?!

Jesus Christ, would somebody let him know, please??!!!

Other than the headliners on the big stage Friday has 7 acts and Saturday has 8 acts. Sunday only has 5.. I think anybody who doesn't go is gonna regret this!

Thanks for the info!

But Hop Farm's twitter has said that only on the day will they announce the times.. Are you going to leave it to the day to get tickets?

Nope - I bought my tickets on the day they were released!

But, knowing both how festivals run and what Prince is like, I'm not going to take any notice of times etc until I actually see him on the stage. If he goes on at 8.30pm and we get 2.5 hours, I'll be well happy. That said, I'll be happy if we get 90 minutes (anything less is far too short for a Prince gig!)

There was an article in yesterday's i newspaper which said that Vince Power, the promoter of Hop Farm is planning to go public on AIM, hoping to raise £6.5m.

Its says "the decision to float the company was helped by popstar Prince, whose appearance at Hop sold out the event and expanded the event by an extra day."

Has it sold out?? I hadn't heard that but may be true!!

HOT CHIP in the DJ tent....that's good news!! Sods law, they'll be spinning at the same time Prince is funking it up.

Not a bad line-up at short notice considering. Overall, I think its an amazing weekend line up for an up-coming festival, so close to where I live. Shame Brandon Flowers isnt on the Sunday to...

thing is he's doing this is a solo gig but other festivals with the killers. i'd much rather see the killers again. i just never got into his solo album, it was like they kept all the good stuff for the killers and his album was the stuff no-one wanted

Weird how we're all different isn't it? - Brandon Flowers' 'Flamingo' was my favourite album of last year! biggrin I REALLY wish he was on Sunday instead!

I've never been one for this thing obsession...

it's usually about 20 mins to half an hour. i would imagine a longer break for prince to get the stage and sound ready

how come you've never been to T in the park? or gig on the green? one year gig on the green had an amazing lineup, paul weller, primal scream, stereophonics, beck. and just one stage (i think) so you didn't have to move between stages to see the bands you want, like T in the park

http://www.supajam.com/get/tickets/hopfarm-friday

i've got mine. pay admin fee of £5.40 per ticket. a max of 2 tickets per person available. a total of 300 tickets being given away

you must have ID and put the persons name on that matches the ID, so don't buy a spare ticket unless the person can come

i know it's not prince, but i think it would be best in the concerts forum so fans going to hop park can take advantage

eagles, bryan ferry (roxy music) and brandon flowers (killers) are playing on friday

just need tix for saturday to see lou reed, iggy pop, patti smith and morrissey

just noticed that offer also lets you buy tix for both sat+sun for £80 plus fee, so basically you can get a ticket for all 3 nites for £80+£5.40 per person. i would have done that if i didn't have my prince ticket already

Woa! Just got an email from AEG Live on behalf of Hop Farm Festival pushing tickets for Prince...followed the link out of interest and they're just £40 each (plus £4.50 fee). I'm guessing we all paid £70, right? Says entry to 'Arena' at 8pm so perhaps you only get to stand at the back with these ones wink

Hmm I don't think so. I think where it says 'This is Sunday only ticket and entry to the Arena is from 20:00. If you wish to camp you must also purchase a Sunday camping ticket for £27.50' it's just quite a standard way of talking about gigs i.e entry to the Arena.

I don't think there'll be an 'arena' where £40 ticket people will stand lol. I think it's cheaper just because you're not seeing the other acts just Prince (which is what we all want anyway)

** Actually, maybe that is right. If I go to buy tickets it says: Your tickets GA: GA 66 - maybe they are seated/allocated or maybe just the ticket 'code' .. dunno **

I will be fucked off if they are reduced to nearly half price for the same ticket. Just the principle of the matter. I know "sales" are more common place in mainland Europe, but so far, not in the UK.

I'm quite happy for it to sell less. Makes it less of a scrum on the day.

i suppose so. and if the £40 tickets let you in at 8pm instead of midday or 2pm to see the other bands with the £80 ticket then i'm happy to pay the extra and get my usual front row spot. i'm allergic to standing at the back of concerts with the normal people who couldn't receite a complete list of prince singles in chronological order if they tried

Can anybody who has already got tickets tell me if the tickets say anything like 'GA: GA 66' on there? Anything like that? If so, I don't think these tickets would be 'seated' or section at the back but just general admission after 8pm.

Thanks

If this 8pm GA let in proves to be the case, them its safe to say Tempah will be finishing between 7.45-8pm.

Good for me, it means I don't need to time my arrival at HOP until 7.30.

I'm pissed off, first it was bad enough standing a field listening to a long setlist of hits opon hits in mud...ok that i could put up with coz i wanna see Prince in the uk, but now I've got some c**ting organisation trying to rip me off.

What the hell is going on with just a simple thing of going to see your favour artist in concert? No its not that simple with Prince is it, one way or another lately someone is getting mugged off, its not like that with other artists.

Anyone want to buy a Sunday ticket?

Mine doesn't (from Eventim) but I'm guessing the GA is 'general admission'. I suppose the extra £30 we've paid assures our front row (ish) position....anyone coming in at 8pm is gonna have to have sharp elbows to get that close.

I have a sneaky suspicion it's going to be amazing- whatever the weather. See y'all there.
