is there a way that when all of these shots are combined that they can be put into a file that can be downloaded so we can create our own book? Designing these in iphoto and ordering it through Apple is something that any of us can do. Creating a personalized version of the book may be something worth doing.

Im interested in a copy! LA plus the San Jose gigs would be awesome

This project idea is great. What a wonderful fan oriented treat for those who have been blessed to catch a bunch of shows at the Forum. Great work. I'd love to help in any way...

I'm not sure that "...ordering it through Apple..." is something you really want to do with something like this.

I'm in. And thank you in advance for doing this for the fans. I do not think a document like this would have happened without all of you who are contributing your time.

Keep it simple folks... Anyone that has good, high-resolution pics from the 21nites in LA & wants to participate, contact GDB & let him coordinate from there. All of us who are interested can share in the cost of production... Nothing more, nothing less... Just fans sharing an experience.

You may not get daily updates from me re every step for a few reasons...one is that there isn't always something new to report. Another is, the more underground we keep this now the better off we'll be down the line. Trust me on that. But you're in good hands...I'm confident everyone will be happy with what we eventually come up with. I will solicit input from you all as we get to those points requiring it.

I just took that bull by the horns, so to speak, because I thought I had the knowledge, resources and experience to put something credible together...but it was his idea and I don't want to take away his shine for suggesting it. Show him some love, I'm sure he would appreciate it.

One thing, IT HAS TO BE ONLY LA SHOWS. I think you misread some of the posts, and it was definitely not a consensus. But reality is, the quality will be in jeopardy if it's expanded outside of L.A. and the meaning in the project would be lost.

I'll happily donate my photos to whomever wants them but the LA residency, 21 Nite Stand or 20-One Nite Stand or whatever you want to call it really deserves its own documentary...

I'm all for this!! Great idea....I want 1!!! But I think there should be some attempt to make it official. You know....get Prince's permission. Just seems like the right thing to do IMO. Who knows, maybe Prince will agree to this if he can have some input...which will make it even more special for me. It just feels not-right to do stuff that upsets Prince..

As someone who was involved with UPTOWN when we fought Prince in a lawsuit and as someone who is very familiar with how CONTROVERSY magazine went into the toilet immediately after Prince had some influence, I would advise against this 100%. If there isn't a way for Prince to have 100% control, make 100% of the money and have everyone else do the work... then he won't be involved. To have him involved just for the sake of his involvement seems ill advised.

This sounds like a fun small book for those who are interested in a non-profit way. To try for anything more grand is asking to have our heads chopped off... royally.

^^^^ I agree, this should be by fans & 4 fans only.... This is not for mass distribution... In fact, no one is trying to make any profit here. Just organizing fan photos & sharing in the costs of production.

Thanks for your input and I would be interested in following up with you privately re your experience with Uptown and Controversy. There it is...there will be no attemtpts to make it "official," no communication with anyone affiliated with Prince...period. Please, no more suggestions otherwise or comments re something not feeling right. If it doesn't feel right to you, fair enough...but this isn't a debate thread, it's an informational thread.

Right now, issues are being checked out and discussed behind the scenes to ensure that no one involved gets their heads chopped off royally or any other way. Be patient.

Pretty extreme, but I agree with your premise.

I find it very strange how some people think. If people went to concerts and wanna share the xperience by creating a project, why should this be wrong? It's none of Prince's concern and why should he be informed or asked for permission?!
