How do you get floor tickets

On ticketmaster are the floor seats (not purple pit) the expensive tickets or is there some selection you need to make to select those floor sections?

Yeah, the floor seats (sections A,B,C & D) are the ones you get with the "Welcome 2 America VIP Package".

Generally more expensive, but some people have reported getting an upgrade to the floor on the night (not quite sure how that works, but presumably starts with enquiring at the box office on arrival).

It is starting to seem that you get rewarded for NOT buying tickets the day they go on sale... If you buy them last minute like I did last night, at around 6 pm... you will find Risers going for 25 bucks, I was in riser 35 row ddd and they were just as good if not better than the section B. Excellent seats for 25! Unfortunately I bought tickets for tonights show the moment the went on sale, and paid 129 a piece for Riser 2 seats.

Imaginative

Two words; day of.

The Forum won't let expensive seats go unsold, and in this case, it usually means huge price drops to fill them on the day of the show. L.A's loss (meaning all of the people not taking advantage of this huge gift Prince is giving us) is OUR gain.

Twice my wife and I got $200 VIP seats--once 5th row loge, right in front of and at same height as the piano, and last night, floor D 7th row--for $25! The first time we went, we got tix a couple of days early and were in the high colonnade.

If you have an iPhone or iPad, I also HIGHLY recommend getting the LiveNation app. The reason is that it allows you to refresh/research WITHOUT having to type in the random symbol code every time. We call it "pulling slots," because it totally feels like playing slots!

The day you want to go, just pull the slots as often as you can. I've seen them loosen up as early as 2pm.

Lastly, you'll have the best luck on Friday when attendance is lower (or Thursday, if he does one again). And be prepared NOT to go if you dont score seats you want, and try again the next day.
