Guess I'm pretty lucky I know someone is tracking the most and least played songs on this tour in another thread, but I figured I'd tally all the songs played at the four shows I've attended to see what kind of variety I've been treated to. And, I must say, except for the over-played covers of Hollywood Swinging, Play that Funky Music and Cool/Don't Stop Till You Get Enough, I've gotten a pretty good mix.
Thank you, Prince! Now let's get a little more of The Gold Experience

That's a cool way to document. Cool and Inglewood Swinging are the two songs that I'm starting to dread now. LOL. I think I can handle Play That Funky Music 1 or 2 more times.

I was dreading "Play That Funky Music" by the second Carolina show. I dug "Cool" each and every time. The crowds gave "Funky Music" an incredible reception each time like it was better than "When Doves Cry," and "Anna Stesia," combined! Not sure how or why. Then again, at a Charlotte concert in 2001, Doug E Fresh got more cheers than Prince did for the 15 minutes he ruined that concert. To this day, this still haunts me. After he was on stage 3 minutes, I was already getting sick. Just shows you how sick some people can be. Would have loved to have heard "So Far So Pleased," as I have never heard it live, and unless my memory is going bad, that had to be the only live performance of it...ever.

Very NICE! I was at two of the shows you were at! Will you be going for more? I don't have time to listen to new music, I've got too much old Prince to discover. Classic example : I was at club Nokia at the midnight show and didn't know "In a large room with no lights" . . . my bad Prince

I'm considering getting tickets to the show this Friday since Janelle Monae is supposed to be appearing. But since Prince seemed like he needed a rest last weekend, I don't know if he's going to be in top form. He's supposedly taking next week off, but let's hope these last couple of days were enough to energize him.

So Far So Pleased was good to me, not great. I missed the boat with Gwen Stefani, so I never was into her music...or No Doubt's....but it was fun to watch her perform with Prince. I'm definitely going Thursday and Friday.
