Actually, it was listed last night about 1030Pm with sales starting at 12 noon Friday the 13th. I agree with jaynoonan, they are waiting for tonights outcome of the San Jose Sharks playoff game. Prince has no scheduled shows in L.A. next week.

HP has no idea what they got themselves into by posting that info and then removing it.

HP didn't post anything on their site--it was Ticketmaster's mistake. HP's response was to me was essentially not to believe anything not posted on their site.

As far as Prince fans obsessively calling the offices for info or with respect to Prince's camp being pissed?

Well, I guess the Prince ass kissers have an excuse. "There was no notarized docutment saying all 21 Nights had to be in LA."

As much as I love him, Prince pulls crap like this time and time again. He should come out with a new album called "The Truth: I won't tell it." Of course, even if he did, I'd pay for it.

I can see the new ad:

Prince 21 Nights Tour In Los Angeles:

10 shows in LA

2 shows in San Jose

5 shows in Atlanta

4 shows in Detroit

1 show in Tallahassee

somehow, it adds up to 22 shows.

15 full length songs performed

lead vocals:

Prince: 10 songs

Shelby or other background singer: 3 songs

songs lacking enough vocals to matter: 3 songs

Prince holding microphone to audience: 1.5 songs

Hmm...that doesn't add up to 15 songs...but this is Prince we are talking about!

In conclusion: Prince is the best there ever was, and will continue to inspire, amaze, and disappoint you.

Prince has done 12 shows already in L.A. in the last 4 weeks; he has 5 more on sale currently via Ticketmaster, as well as, 3 or 4 others that are rumored. He'll probably end up doing 30-35 shows in Los Angeles, not 21. I think we're getting a full dose of Prince in Los Angeles.

Well, spreading rumors is not my style, because it contributes to a lot a misinformation being thrown around. First of all, he's been DOING late night shows already during the 21 Night Stand, but apparently, not too many people in here are catching him...oh well. I was told he's going to do a show on Sunday, not sure if it's true or not. But I do know there will be several intimate performances in the next 60 days. We just have to stay tuned. Dr. Funkeberry seems to be able to provide a lot of inside information; I'd recommend following him via twitter.

Well, I'm sure he'd be welcomed at the Blank Club. Or DNA/Fillmore in SF. Or New Parish/Uptown in Oakland. If Prince needs a breath of Nor Cal air in between LA dates we'll gladly take him.

You can plot where you wanna sit by viewing this seating chart before buying tickets. May be helpful.

THANKYOU

Does anybody in the bay area have more specific seating info on the seating for the HP Pavillion? I wanna know what the rows start/end with and more importantly which direction the seats are numbered for sections 101 102 114 115... (the good sections! LOL)

let me know if anybody knows!!!

If only San Jose had good acoustics I might go again, though the 2nd or 3rd show will probably be the best. The 1st show is a mystery. I went to the first show in Oakland and as good as it was, it wasn't anything close to what the 2nd or 3rd show must have been like since he played ALL the hits. The first show he played all the obscure songs and his backup singers sang 3 songs along with Sheila E. Last time I looked I went to see a Prince concert and not a variety show. Santana was good, but again, I didn't go to see a Santana. Man, we didn't even get 1999, Let's Go Crazy, Little Red Corvette, When Doves Cry or even Take Me With You.

So my advice, sit low where the speakers are because if you sit up high you'll have difficulty hearing the music. HP Pavilian sucks even for hockey matches where you can't sit forward in your chair if you're upstairs or you'll block the person's view that's sitting behind you.

My memory could be wrong on this because I haven't been there in a couple years, but the last time I was there I sat in section 109 and was in the front row, which I *think* was row D. Have no idea about seating numbers, though. I was pleasantly surprised with my view, and it would probably be better with an in-the-round stage setup like Prince has.

I have SPECIFIC information that Prince has booked "The Joint" for 5/21 in Las Vegas. He WILL NOT be in San Jose on the 21st.

You can take my information for what it's worth but I have confrimed information from a guy who works for AEG in LA while we were standing in line to see Prince at the Troubadour on Wednesday.

I don't think he will cancel once tickets go on sale. I'm going to shows just in case biggrin
