Anyone here familiar with this arena? I'm considering going but not too thrilled that the $98 tickets give me seats in the upper level only. Is it a smaller arena where even if your in the upper level it's not so bad? | |

But I will ask my buddy up that way how the arena is...
It's 16,000 seats, but it doesn't seem that big. We're in the second row in the upper level and I think it'll be a good view. Based on reports from other shows, they may be handing out tickets to the lower level, too. A coworker just got tix today in 116, so the lower level must not be filled. | |

Ok, I've been here for about 30 minutes or so and im already starting to see what I hate about Prince concerts.....the overabundance of the color purple, people dressing up like they are going to church, the club, etc. Its a fucking concert, nobody cares what the fuck YOU look like!!!! Most of these people probably went out and bought clothes specifically for this show, which is ridiculous in my opinion. ANYWay.....so far id say it's about half full, but people are still coming in. The place is filling in nicely. Still not quite full though.....maybe 80-85%. I wish I could have gotten a real camera in here....Prince Concert Fashion Disasters would make an AWESOME thread! Lol | |

After going to a Springsteen concert, I expressed (jokingly) that I was "appalled" at the fact that fans tailgate. I started joking that Prince fans "tailHATE". We check each other out before the shows...
Maybe YOU don't care, but some of us have a standard that we like to live up to when going out. My concert gear was "tight" for every show. (and NO PURPLE. too cliche.

I'll post a full "review" later but for now.... no surprises, typical setlist, typical show. Controversy was great, the slowed down LRC was a nice treat, but I felt like for the most part I was watching a Musicology show with a slight set change. It was a good show .....but not great. Time for the flames! Lol | |

Not at all.
I love and appreciate the in-show updates, but only from people that specifically want to share every moment as it's happening.
If I was there, there's no way I'd be posting/tweeting/etc... I'd be enjoying the experience!
If no one wants to post updates until after the show, then I'm happy to wait
(but waiting almost a week for shirtless pics is just bloody ridiculous!

Great show, of course. Opened with Purple Rain. Played Anotherloverhole.., Mountains. Even heard him reference Pitbull with one line from that "I Know you want me" song. The little sample set was actually cool, especially if you ever wanted to hear "When Doves Cry" sung by Camille. | |

Ths concert was jumping. This is only my second. IZOD was my first and hands down this one was way better. The energy was like crazy. Crowd was hype and so was he. Set list was maybe not the best but the performance easily made up for anything lacking. No encore but..it was a great concert. Thought I was going to have to kick some ass...3 drunk girls behind us had problems standind. Smh.. he did make a reference to the effect of "shelby your town was funky but idk Greenville is funky too" | |

There is no way that I can remember the whole setlist, but opened with
Purple Rain, went into Take Me With You. 1999, Little Red Corvette, Mountains, Pop Life C.O.O.L., Nothing Compares 2 U, Housequake, Musicology, Raspberry Beret, Everyday People, Anotherloverholenyohead, Guitar, Controversy, D.M.S.R., Kiss, Let's Go Crazy, Sign O'The Times, U Got The Look.
These aren't in order and I'm sure there are several others that I'm missing. Great show!

well this was my 2nd prince concert.. but my daughter n niece's first one .. i felt so proud when they came out all excited n hollering just as much as i was. they want to go to all his concerts now woo hoo now i dont feel bad for torturing them all their life with prince music haha.. had a blast!! i didnt stop dancing any!!! ( n i dont dance lol ) felt bad for the lady that fell on stage though.. I WOULD OF DIED!! cant wait til next one!! | |
