What are Official Platinum Seats?Official Platinum Seats are premium tickets to concerts and other events made available by artists and event providers through Ticketmaster. They give fans fair and safe access to some of the best seats in the house. Are Official Platinum Seats resale tickets?No. Official Platinum Seats were not purchased initially and then posted for resale; they are being sold for the first time through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster's Official Platinum Seats program enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value. I just checked into the pricing, seeing as I paid 500 bucks for purple VIP tix, and they are still 500 bucks-a piece-. Something is wrong with the info they sent out, it seems. I was about to be ticked.. -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude! | |

When I bought my tickets, there was no VIP table seating for $219. I got the lower level. I just checked ticketmaster, and didn't see $219 table seats. Did they sell out? Who knows. I surely would've rather a vip table. Oh well. I think its kinda shitty that after years of giving the true fans early access, we're kinda left out in the cold. I hope the people sitting in the VIP areas are true fans and not corporate folks who gave the tickets out as incentives. Either way, I'mma have fun! | |
