Any after parties planned for Greensboro yet?

Cola peeps. Going to try for the $200 tix. I like to be where the party is! Still waiting to see seating chart, tho. Are we SURE there's no word on pre-sale (yes, I KNOW they go on sale tomorrow, but there is still PRE-tomorrow!)? How about an after party? These things are important. Doesn't the Man get that? People gotta PLAN!

I've checked the 2 or 3 sites where tix can be purchased, and all say the same thing--tix go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday, March 15) at 10:00 AM. $200??? Damn, I'm shootin' for the cheap-ass $20 nosebleed tix!

For once I can actually afford the good seats and I can't get one. Ticketmaster is such a pain. I've been trying for "close" seats for 1.5 hrs. For those of you who got close seats...pleast dance and sing some for me!!

I will be at the Greenville SC show. Looks like Im going to try for the $80.00 tickets and not the 120. 200, 300, 500 dollar tickets. Would love to do the table seats for $500.00 a pop but just no where near that kind of money. Tickets go on sale tomorrow so hope I get good seats.

Are you trying to order VIP's? -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude!

Alright folks... where are the best seats in terms of position relevant to the stage? I can't afford to be on the floor, but I want a good view.

Well, just got my tickets for Greensboro on Ticketmaster and that was a little frustrating. I badly misjudged what the pricing rationale would be for the tickets and spent several minutes having to re-search for new tickets using different parameters.
I knew I couldn't afford the VIP or floor seating, which I had assumed would be the most expensive--the $219 and $119 respectively--and had read good things here about seating on the lower level, which actually gave you a good view of the entire stage. I had guessed the lower level would be the $79 tickets, since I thought all of the most expensive would probably be on the floor in front of the stage--I was wrong.
For my first ticket search I designated the $79 price and then clicked "Best Available," which turned up seats on the floor right behind the "Circle" part of the symbol--but I didn't want to be back there b/c I had heard that P spends most of his time in the "key" part of the symbol. So I re-searched again, specifying the section this time--"lower level"--and then got really nice seats in front of the stage--but they were $219!! In other words, the floor, lower, and upper-level seating areas don't seem to correspond clearly to any specific price point. (Which begs the question of why Ticketmaster would use that rubric for ticket searches!) So then I searched a third time, selecting the desired price again, and this time Ticketmaster took a LOOOONG time thinking about it, at which point I was jumping up and down in my seat.
Turns out I got fourth row in the upper-level, at the exact midpoint of the symbol and arena. I have no idea if these seats will be good or not, but oh well. I suppose at the very least I should be able to see the entire stage.
So, for those of you who are going to search for tickets at future shows, I don't know what advice to give you. I guess if money is no object, then it's easy--plug in the highest price and go for it. But if it is, then I guess you should just put in your price and then just choose whatever shows up first, regardless of where they end up being around the Symbol, b/c it may take SEVERAL more tries' worth to nab tickets if you go back and re-search!!!

Just got my tickets for Greensboro. On the floor, section F row 10. I've never been able to sit close when I've seen him so I wanted a good seat this time. I can't wait!

Got 2 $20 tix for Greensboro. I told my wife I hope she's not afraid of heights. Upper level 201 row BBB. That's up against the roof.
After I got these, I tried other options. The $79 tix are still in the upper level, just not as high. If I'm going to be upper level anyway, better to pay $60 for 2 seats than $186! As much as I'd like lower level, my wallet can't stand a $270 hit right now. We won't even talk about the VIP seats.
I'm just glad to have tickets. The cheap seats appear to have already sold out in Greensboro.
How times have changed. Our floor tix to the Musicology show in Raleigh were $75 each (with each ticket including a Musicology CD).

I definitely agree that the pricing strategy seems to be a little bit strange... I am glad to hear that P spends most of his time in the "key" part of the symbol tho... I ended up with 2 tix in section 217 (a corner section) row K for $60 each at the Greensboro show. I'll take it

Same here! I was ready to get the $199 tix but they wouldnt come up. I ended up getting the $135 ones and the seats are okay but I can go back to the site now (this afternoon) and pull up better seats at $199!!! Very frustrating!! I wish I could trade them in!!! ARGGGG
Oh well, I saved a little money and Im sure the show will be great!!!
To those of you who have seats on the circle side of the symbol, dont worry - I was on that side at Madison Square Garden and had a great view. Of course the other side would be better but this stage setup really is the best!!!!!!!!! Prince did come around and hang out over there quite often.

oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gotta go now!! this is even closer for me!!!
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
Got my tickets for the Greensboro show. I actually WANTED seats on the upper level so I could see the entire show a little better.
- E-mail - orgNote - ![]() |
I got my tickets for the Raleigh show and the Greensboro show as well.
For Raleigh I'm in section 106, and for Greensboro I'm in section 107. These were the $119 seats.
I was on the floor for the Musicology tour, but didn't like the perspective, so this time I got lower level for both shows.
Cannot wait!!! | |

NicknameCackalacky (also Cackalacka, Cackalack) is a slang or nickname form of Carolina, used in reference to North Carolina or South Carolina (e.g. North Cackalacky, South Cackalack), mostly in the Southern United States.[17] It is often preceded by "North" or "South" in referring to the states individually. While the cognomen has gained widespread use,[citation needed] lexicographers have yet to identify its exact origin, although it is suspected to have originated outside of the states.[18] Although some believe the term has existed since at least the 1800s, it has recently enjoyed a rise in vernacular usage possibly due to usage by the military population and the urban hip-hop community. According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office's official records, the first commercial use of the term Cackalacky is attributed to Cackalacky, Inc. (now Cackalacky Classic Condiment), makers of a spiced condiment from North Carolina. Cackalacky is also a military jargon term referring to the Carolinas that is commonly used by Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps troops while stationed on military bases in the Carolinas – e.g., "Camp Lejeune, North Cackalacky", "Ft. Bragg, North Cackalacky", "Pope AFB, North Cackalacky". North Carolina was also referred to as "North Cackalacka" in "Scenario" from A Tribe Called Quest's album Low End Theory by Jive Records (released on September 24, 1991). Other popular spelling-variants include: Cackalacki, Cackalackie, Kackalack, Kakalak, Kakalaka, Cakalacky, Kackalacky, Cakalaka, Kakalacky, Kakalaky, Cakalaky, and Cackalacka.
